Morning Briefs on Kevin James inside the Political Machine for Tuesday
Hey!! Has being inside City Hall changed Kevin James?
Mayor Garcetti on LA Times Missive, its true ......., I made a City Hall Insider of Kevin James.
Bloggin announcement!! Kevin James has officially left the Radio Studio ........, for the Inside Culture of 200 Spring Street.
Its been eight months since the last time this blogger heard a much-revered Radio Host behind the microphone and simply, it (and he) was not the same.
Yes, it was great to hear the now Board of Public Works President doing fill-in duties for KFI's "John and Ken" but instead of hearing the likes of "Wayne of Encino" or "Rita of Sunland", we were treated, as my bloggin colleague Michael Higby opined then, to a "City Hall Infomercial".
Now after a City Hall intra-mural dust up between James and City Controller Ron Galperin over the findings of an Audit on the Department of Street Services, the former Democrat, turned Republican Talk Show Host/Mayoral Candidate, is being perceived by some in a LA Times missive, as becoming part of the "Inside Culture" within the confines of 200 Spring Street.
Ron Kaye holds nothing back in stating ........... "Kevin has joined the system," said Ron Kaye, former editor of the Los Angeles Daily News. "It's distressing to see someone who knows better buying into the idea that we have to protect the system from reform."
Indeed, James in recent months has almost, if not completely, made a full circle return to his former Democratic-leanings, by supporting a $ 3 Billion Dollars hike in the Municipal Sales Tax to pay for Street and Sidewalk Repairs, a position actually to the left of Mayor Eric Garcetti, who stated his opposition to the tabled-proposal.
That said, the likes of respected Blogger Paul Hatfield, in musing on James's packed appearance before this month's LANCC Meeting, gives James credit for facing up to the scrutiny of Galperin's audit but kindly reminds the Public Works President that he should ......., also be grateful … and I believe he is. Galperin has exposed the skeletons before they can jump out and bite the Public Works President. He can now work on solutions, although the road to change will be difficult given the degree of political meddling by the City Council.
.........., and worse if a supposed Outsider Reformer has bought into the Insider Culture.
Your thoughts ..............

I miss Kevin James on the radio.. Kevin don't jump into politics and change on your listeners. We needed someone like you now you've become one of them. Terrifying.
A lost listener and no longer your supporter
