Late Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Hump Day

State Senator Kevin De Leon and CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar enjoy Korea Political Junket.
LOL!!

There was once a time when a local Assemblyman's office provide better constituent services than the City Councilman who represents the same area and opening joked about it.

Now some years later, that Assemblyman, now State Senator Kevin De Leon and the same Councilman Jose Huizar, take to the friendly skies as they jetted off together for a Korea Junket as political bunk buddies.

We invite Senator De Leon and Councilman Huizar to offer comments on their Korean adventures and any substantive results.

Councilman Huizar proposes Homeless Slush Fund/ Donation Meters in Downtown LA
What political bag man will collect the spare change from proposed Homeless Meters? Photo via Curb LA.
LMAO!
We should give the Dear Charro, Princeton Graduate CD Downtown City Councilman Jose Huizar credit for audacity regarding his proposal to use old parking meters as spare change collection devices for homeless services.
But as many predicted, Councilman Huizar would seek to create many new revenue streams to control and reward political cronies.
BTW, what is the Dear Charro, Princeton Graduate track record on transparency regarding accounting for expenditures from his controlled discretionary funds? That has been well-documented.
Would City Controller and Mayor Candidate Wendy Greuel audit expeditures from the CLARTS Fund transfers noted above?

Your thoughts ................
Scott Johnson in CD 14
