The "Average Joe" of San Pedro became City Councilman Joe Buscaino with 100% of the precincts reporting at 11:40 P.M. As the crowds turn out into the San Pedro night. A second generation immigrant is validated by the community of his birth as their leader to the City Council.

It remains to be seen whether he can, by himself, make a difference and use his office to help clean up the years of corruption that has entrenched itself at City Hall. Every Mayoral and City Council candidate who has "promised" to make things better, has always run up against "the wall". Let's see what happens next!
