"The Villar and Beck Self-Congratulation Tour" date with reality in El Sereno

LAPD Chief Charlie beck with his boss Mayor Antonio Villar. In Mayor Villar's words. the "LAPD Golden Hour" in executing the "Flea Party Bug Out", had almost tragic consequences in El Sereno due to the absence of LAPD resources.
Tuesday night stolen car suspect on foot in El Sereno after crashing stolen vehicle at the end of chase televised on KCAL. According to sources, at the time of terminus of chase in El Sereno, not one LAPD car was on patrol in the Hollenbeck Station area. In the Hollywood Station area, one car was on call to maintain law and order. This because patrol resources were diverted to Downtown LA to execute the "Flea Party Bug Out".
As we enter Day Two of the Mayor Antonio Villar and Chief Charlie Beck "Self-Congratulations Tour" regarding the "Flea Party Bug Out", the self back-slapping is giving way to the realities of questionable decision making within City Hall.
As city crews hauled away 30 tons of trash from the newly polluted brownfields of City Hall, it is clear in sight and smell that Occupy LA "was a messy excerment exercise in first amendment crap-talking by a bunch of pissed off derelicts", to paraphrase Mayor Villar.

And while some seek to put a numerical cost on this messy excerment in free speech, another type of cost is building in El Sereno, one that LAPD may not pay down in the near future. As the Los Angeles Sheriff initiated chase came to a end in El Sereno near 9 P.M. on Tuesday, it become quickly apparent that LAPD resources were no where to be found. We should state that the LASD had backed off on its pursuit of the stolen vehicle due to the unsafe nature of the chase. But with both law enforcement and news media helicopters following, the suspect crashed his vehicle and fled on foot in the view of the above copter night light.
Yet, as viewers awaited the usual swarm of ground units to make a quick arrest, none were on scene. Once the location was ascertain, this blogger called The Voice Newspaper Editor Carlos Morales who lives in the area. About the same time, local residents were leaving messages on his Facebook Page about the crash and helicopters. Morales by now had made his way to the location and was surprise to find no LAPD units on scene. As the minutes ticked away and the suspect was still outstanding, citizens contacted one another seeking up to the minute information.
One hour later with still no perimeter in place by an absent LAPD, it was a LASD Swat Team that prepare to seek out the suspect, not LAPD. Thus, as 1400 LAPD officers assemble to execute the Flea Party Bug Out, a dangerous suspect was outstanding as citizens sought information and protection. El Sereno Honorary Mayor Edward Santillan noted on Facebook at 10:07 P.M. "that after 1.5 hours, Sheriff deputies from East Los Angeles and Compton were on scene in Hollenbeck!!".
..... and as Mayor Villar and Chief Beck forge forward with their "scripted victory lap" in executing the "Flea Party Bug Out", citizens of El Sereno will have questions why law enforcement resources were absent from their community as LAPD cleaned out a "illegal and fail excerment exercise in free speech" that fermented too long thanks to the likes of Council President Garcetti and Mayor Villar?
Your thoughts ..............

I hope residents of Los Angeles have realized how desperate we are for a leader who is willing to make the right decisions. We see daily, that Villaraigosa fails at that meserably. A while back, at a news conference, Villaraigosa said, “...and that’s why I was elected, to make the tough decisions,” Well, this Occupy event, is another confirmation, that Villaraigosa’s only concern, is gathering publicity and votes for future public office. Villaraigosa deliberately left the rest of the City to fend for its self, while he and Chief Beck viewed their scene of the crime.

Villaraigosa, Garcetti and Rosendahl showed blatant desregard for public safety and protection by deliberately refusing, at minimum, to instruct Chief Beck to enforce chapters 1, 4 and 5 of our municipal code, which address violations at this event, on the first night those protesters tried to set-up camp. Otherwise, East Los Angeles, and El Sereno residents would have had their respective number of officers to have handled the fleeing felon. Councilman Ed Reyes and Jose Huizar should be blasting Villaraigosa for putting their constituents in such danger.

I certainly would have!

THE DANGER WAS NOT THE OCCUPY MOVEMENT IT'S PEOPLE LIKE THOUGH'S IN OUR CITY HALL GOVERNMENT WHO SAY WHAT PEOPLE WANT TO HERE THEN DO WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE. THE POLICE DID NOT ADD TO THE PROBLEM BY OVER STEPPING THEIR PLACE IT WAS EASY THANKS TO PEACEFUL OCCUPY PARTICIPANTS WHO MADE THEIR JOB EASY. YOU MAY THINK THEY COULD HAVE LEFT BUT THE WHOLE POINT WAS TO GET WORLD COVERAGE AND THEY DID THAT. GETTING IN THE PAPERS AND ON TV HAS A PRICE! BUT NOT GETTING ON TV OR IN THE PAPERS UNDER THESE DIRE CIRCUMSTANCES HAS A GREATER PRICE TO THIS COUNTRY.

I was DT @ OLA twice after about 6 weeks in. I was trying to pay particular attention to the surrondings. I found no evidence of discust. It looked like a normal camp site after about 6 weeks or so, nothing that out of the ordinary. I generally support the movement but then again I have had my share of corupt banks and yes Credit Unions too. They are lawless. Ask why and I will explain...p

I dont need a lot of LAPD. The shit I dont want to hear is Beck and Mayor shit-bird blowback after I do the lawful thing and take him in or take him out after he crashes on to my domain. What dif does it make if LAPD is not on site. They are an after the fact report taking agency. Oh yeah we could phone 911 dial a prayer...p

After a redistricting evening meeting at City Hall, I walked over to the camp-site. As I chatted with a group of LAPD officers, the odor of Marijuana was very strong.
