Joe Buscaino responds to Pat McOsker Attack Mailer regarding Republican Voter Registration
Lets get to the premise of CD 15 City Council Candidate Pat McOsker's "Secret Mailer Hit Piece" on fellow candidate Joe Buscaino, yes, Joe Buscaino was once a Republican.and once again, Buscaino take ownership of the issue. In today's profile in the Daily Breeze, Buscaino explains his change of party registration from Republican to Democrat.
But its McOsker's "BIg Labor" supporters that merit further scrutiny as we enter the last weekend of campaigning.
He was the target this week of a mailer titled "Joe Buscaino has a secret!" sent out by the Pat McOsker camp, calling his party registration into question. The City Council seat is nonpartisan, but McOsker charged that Buscaino had changed his party registration from Republican to Democrat to appeal to more voters in the district.Buscaino denied the charge, saying he was raised in a Democratic home but bolted to register with the Republicans after becoming a police officer. He said he switched registration because he thought the Democratic Party more strongly supported the crime prevention and anti-poverty programs he believes are vital to improving the community."Over the course of the last 10 years I felt that there was more to it than just arresting and booking them," he said. "You've got to provide these people with more resources."
But its McOsker's "BIg Labor" supporters that merit further scrutiny as we enter the last weekend of campaigning.
The likes of SEIU 721 President Bob Schoonover (behind McOsker in photo) and DWP/IBEW Overlord Brian D'Arcy who are responsible for McOsker packing his carpetbag (with hundreds of thousands of union money) and returning home to the town of his youth from Redondo Beach, as the chosen one of the powerful cabal of City Hall unions.
As of today, the poor union shop burro above, has been overloaded with $354,903 of IE money from SEIU 721 and Brian D'Arcy's "Working California's" which may pay for the same result as the "Empty Vessel called Chris Essel" in CD 2. After all, Republicans and Democrats alike, put local concerns and knowledge before the wants of City Hall power brokers, just as they will in CD 15 on Tuesday.
Your thoughts..............

WOW. Nothing to see here, folks!
Boy, I remember when this was the go-to blog for LA politics.
On the bright side, Scott, your grammar is improving. Keep it up. Practice makes perfect, little buddy!

When given the opportunity at the October 22nd candidate forum to show he was NOT beholden solely to the union overlords, McOsker failed to do so. His response to a specific question showed that he is nothing but a puppet candidate to both the unions bankrupting the city & the IBEW mafia bosses running the DWP. They are both afraid that Joe, though a Democrat, cares more about his community and his district than those special interests, and cannot be bought like McOsker.
