The talk and walk of CD 2 City Councilman Paul Krekorian

Thanks to Communitcation Director Jeremy Oberstein of CD 2 City Councilman Paul Krekorian's office for relaying us the two photos above of yesterday's City Council observance of the 96th Anniversity of the Armenian Genocide, co hosted by City Council President Eric Garcetti and Councilman Paul Krekorian.
UCLA Professor Richard Hovannisian was honor for his academic work in documenting the history of the 1.5 million Armenians put to death by the Ottoman Turks.and using this history to combat all forms of genocide.

Video Journalist Peter Musurlian provides us with this video of Councilman Krekorian enjoying a stroll in the Verdugo Mountains with the Sierra Club. Sierra Club Trip Leader Garen Yarparian organizes a hike with an public official on the third sunday of each month.

Now that Paul is in for the next 12 years maybe he will stop using his State Assembly Committee to receive money from the unions and the special interests. Yes it is legal but just how much special interest money is enough?

"The walk and talk of Paul Krekorian" - although it's a rare case of grammatical correctness from Red Spoof, SO WHAT? An Armenian hosts a day to commemorate his own people's persecution is some sort of proof of --- what?

Let's see if he has the courage to do anything for the contemporary Turkish community, who are no more responsible for the genocide than the modern Germans for the Holocaust - SOME have guilt and SOME are fascists in both cases but being an elected representative means looking out for ALL the people, not just your own race or nationality or religion.

Rising about just supporting your own - THAT would be "walking the walk."

Krekorian ran for this job right after he won his Assembly seat, at great cost and waste of money. Only had the good luck to run against someone like Chris Essel, who was tainted by her alleged association with Mayor Tony V.

Those two long shot pictures could be of anything and offer no value. I guess because a Krekorian staffer sent them to you, they are magic. Were those pictures really worth posting? We get it...you like Paul Krekorian cause he is a really, really great guy. He really, really is out for the people. And those pictures are worthy of posting.

KREKORIAN SHOULD HAVE RUN FOR THE SENATE IF HE WANTS TURKEY'S PEOPLE TO PAY, NOT A COUNCIL SEAT! IF THE POINT IS TO REFLEX HISTORY THAT'S ONE THING BUT 98% OF THE PEOPLE INVOLVED ARE DEAD. MAKING TURKEY'S PEOPLE BEND OR PAY IS STUPID.
