Mayor Sam Candidate Endorsements: Krekorian for CD2
This is the first in a series of posts where JoeB and I will give our endorsements for candidates for LA City Council and School Board. Where there is agreement we will give the official MayorSam endorsement to the candidate. We start today with CD2. For each post we will give both Joe's endorsement and mine along with our comments. The choices in CD2 are:
JoeB: Krekorian has represented his constituents extremely well in his short time in office. He also has the best and most responsive staff in the City.
Michael Higby: Paul Krekorian in his short time in office has shown a clear grasp of the issues and has a staff/office that is the best in the business. Paul has earned a second term and it would be disruptive to a district that has been in turmoil for years to make a change now. Krekorian's opponent, Augosto Bisani is a good man and a great businessman. But he has failed to show a clear grasp of city issues and has not made the case why Krekorian should be replaced.
Verdict: Krekorian for CD2

AH, very wise. Don't let the Red Spotted one anywhere near endorsements.
Has he been "cease-and-dezisted" out of the Mayor Sam's coterie.
'bout time!
Not that it will change Mayor Sam's opinion re: CD14; you'll drink the "Clean Sweeper" kool-aid and adopt the "anyone but" the incumbent policy that led the City to being run by Attention-deficit Villaraigosa.
What you gotta ask yourself is, taking into account the financial situation that the WHOLE COUNTRY (not just L.A.) is in - is the district in better shape than it was 6 years ago (under that very same absentee CM, Tony V.)?
Yup, yup, yup. And nearly as important, do community leaders here feel it's better off than even under the last guy to serve a full term - Pacheco.
Yup, yup, yup. Look at the endorsements far and wide in the district for Huizar. Not just liberal leftie hacks and (fake) "progressives" - but even DIE-HARD Pachecoists.
That's what should count on election day.
And, that's what will get Huizar re-elected by a double-digit lead.

No pizza for you FATBOY!

Seriously! If Pigby voted for Bisani he could get free pizza.
Supporting Crackwhorian he will get to consume his weight (and that is a lot of consumption girlfriends!) in that awful, greasy Armenian crap they call food.
(make sure there is no hair in the food Pigby)

Is Gatto supporting his fellow goomba, Bisani?

The Bisani bloggers are as bad as the Gatto thugs and Huizar spinners.
Where is wet spot when you need him?

I think this is the one endorsement we can all agree on.
Paul Krekorian has very quickly proven many who doubted him (including me) to be wrong. I thought he was just another Sacramento political refugee, drawn to the richer climes of a comfortable LA Councilmember's salary, and quickly to become part of the business as usual brigade.
Boy was I wrong. I think Krekorian has set the Gold Standard for what we should expect from our elected officials, and if any of the other incumbents are unseated in these revolutionary times, I hope their replacements will follow Krekorian's example and not become clowns, forgetful of their campaign promises and carried away with a false sense of self-importance.

Guess Berger aka Rumpole aka Windscale etc. etc. was wrong about Carmen Trutanich too? I assume that's what he means by "clowns, forgetful of their campaign promises and carried away with a false sense of self-importance."

Hey,David Berger, I have only three things to say about you. 1) You are for sale and will do anything, which includes your blogging to get a better job. 2) You are a no-nothing in LA. Just because you ran for an office means nothing. The city is filled with losers who try to gain credibility because of that. 3) Lastly, we heard you work for the DA. Do you do any work? Are our taxpayer dollars paying for your blogging?

Hey 3:50PM. At least David Berger has the guts to say who he is, not hide behind anonymous and make pathetic remarks. Of course, like all the Nooochies, you are of limited brain power - you cannot even tell the time. Berger's comment was posted during lunch hour - last time I checked our precious tax dollars don't pay for lunch. Moron.
I agree that Krekorian was misjudged by some, but I respect those who are man enough to admit they were wrong. I hope to hear more from Berger as to why he has changed his opinion about Nooooch? I have my suspicions, but would be interested to hear the answer.

Screw Gatto, he is not good enough to shine Paul's shoes.

I was all set to make this a bloggin threesome but then our supposed populist hero from CD 2, morphs into an insider backslapper who endorses Councilman Huizar for re-election in CD 14.
Sorry Paul, but you should of left those tendencies behind in Sacxramento.
