This is the city: Los Angeles, California. I work here. I'm an ex-mayor. Los Angeles is a magnet for people from all over the world. Some of them run for public office. Inevitably some of them stray from the golden rule and rule for those that have the gold. That's when I go to work. My name is Yorty. I'm a dead pol.

Joe, you need to be clearer on your claim.
The union announced solidarity with the strikers, however, THEY aren't striking.
Which police union are you referring to? ONE of their four unions did this, but the other three have not taken a position at this point in time.
We're a long way from Wisconsin. At least you could have a clip of Huizy, with the Move-on group, shouting through his megaphone on the steps of city hall in support.
So what?
The Governor and majority of the state-wide officials are REPUBLICAN, so it don't matter JACK.
Joe, why don't you post the names of the organizations, such as the Small Business Association of Wisconsin, which DON'T support it?
Solidarity in WHAT WAY?
There are four such unions in Wisconsin, and NONE of them are on strike.
I guess "solidarity" only goes so far, and stops when it means YOUR bills not getting paid.
This is hardly "breaking news"
It's not on any major news outlet, at least not the ones that I randomly checked.
This is Joe's way of trying to create buzz in a town where the subject doesn't matter to anyone.
How are they pledging solidarity? None of the WI law enforcement employee unions are on strike.
It must be a "limited solidarity," lolol.
How so, Joe? They're neither striking nor joining them on the picket lines.
Joe, Wisconsin turned from a blue state to a red state.
It doesn't matter, and this isn't news. Since when do union loudmouths crybabying it constitute news? It's not on latimes.com so how does it matter to me?
HELLO? WISCONSIN IS A FRESHLY MINTED RED STATE!
THOSE ARE THE VOTERS SPEAKING, WHICH IS ALWAYS BIGGER THAN THE UNION ROLLS.
"limited solidarity," indeed 9:28!
WHICH union, Joe? None of them are striking. What, they issued a letter of appreciation or something? C'mon!
When the policemen join the protest, I'll believe it. So far, I've not seen ONE sign that they're out there with them.
This is a gratuitous solidarity at BEST.
Go Governor Walker!
Joe, face it, the unions lost this one!! All of the "rent a mobs" in the world are not going to change the outcome....it's a done deal!
Koch whores in the house!
Joe, things go better with Koch,
