Update: Peter informs us: "The landlord called me at 10:20 tonight and said the sign is down and she had nothing to do with it. I believe her. She was nice and genuinely upset."

Yep. Some asshole scribbled it on the lady's sign. So good that the owner isn't doing that but bad there is still some asshole that did that.

Maybe you should take it down altogether because I looked at the previous posts column and saw this. If you were pranked, you should probably take it down.

As always...I am not writing anonymously.
I am astonished that anyone, even the omnipresent agenda-driven hacks & haters of Mayor Sam, would criticize the reporting of this story.
The story is not a prank, but the motivation MIGHT have been: like a couple of 13-year-old boys trying to stir things up.
But, what would that suggest, even if they were just immature troublemakers? What would that say about how one or a handful of teenagers think about Armenian-Americans? These are kids living in a nice, tree-lined suburban community. They shouldn't be vandalizing signs with anti-Armenian hate speech. They shouldn't be spraying swastikas on synagogues. And, they shouldn't be engaging in written, verbal or physical violence against blacks, Latinos, the LGBT community or anyone else for that matter.
Those anonymous individuals, who criticized the reporting of this story, or simply dismissed the story as irrelevant, should look into their souls on this one.
The reporting of this story led to the sign coming down. Who can argue with that result?"

Maybe the lady did not place that on her sign however it was there. Does anyone know how long it was there ? I would say she had better keep a better eye on her sign because at the very least this is a rather racist neighborhood.

Whatever the motivation of the piece, it's still sad that there are people in this community that target specific groups with hateful messages.
