Jerry Brown's First TV ad

Jerry's first tv campaign ad for the 2010 gubernatorial race, now that the non voting billionaire, Meg Whitman, has spent $104 million over the summer (Jerry is around $400,000 and frugally campaigning).

Oh, and Meg stands by her ads dammit!

Election time is always so much fun here at Mayor Sam.

Mayor Sam,
Please fire this scum sucking liberal Joe B! He is un-American, not a patriot, never served in the military, lives on a trust fund, and smokes pot.

Meg will destroy Jerry Brown in November and restore California to the bright white shining star that it
was before the browns and the liberals derailed the golden state.
God's providence is in play, Meg is his chosen leader.

Mayor Sam, you're right about Jerry. Not that great of a choice, but compared to Nut Meg Whitman, I'd rather have the devil we know, than the devil we don't.

Nut Meg is going to end up spending $150 million dollars of her own money to get a job that pays, what, $200,000 a year. Is that something a sane, rational person does?

I don't think so. Especially given that she hadn't even voted in the last 30 years. Why does she care all of a sudden?

Something's up. Maybe she knows something we don't but right now, and I think you'd agree, she seems like the second coming of Ahnuld Schwarzen-schnitzel. He tuned Gray Davis deficit of $7 billion into a $19 billion deficit. Clearly that experiment didn't work.

For the next four years, until we get someone better, I'd rather have this frugal old man, than take a chance Nut Meg starts selling off the State to the highest bidder, ala E-Bay.

Why couldn't Janice Hahn's first name be Meg? Nut Janice doesn't have the same ring.

Joe... NEWS FLASH... Brown is NOT going to win.

His unfavorables are too high for a "veteran" politician.
The right has more passion going into this election than the left and that tilts against him.

It will take a miracle.

The miracle will not come in the form of a Clinton or Obama visit. Both are widely popular in CA.

Clinton will demand an apology from Brown. 18 years later, I don't see Brown (the dick he is) doing that.
And unless Obama wants to piss off the Clintons (lose Hillary in the process) and their very loyal political wing, he will sit out this race.

For those that don't know; Brown went after Hillary Clinton (not Bill) in the 92 primaries. He tared and feathered her like no tomorrow.

Case in point, Obama came to help dems like Boxer and others, Brown was NOT there!

FACT CHECK:

This ad is misleading...and annoying.

Jerry, you better change your TV ad guy, or you're going to have your head handed to you by Billionaire Meg.

And what's up with
Brown campaign workers repeatedly posting "nut" meg...oh, I get it...HA HA. Considering she was one of the few large company women CEO's in the country (or for that matter, in the world), and she ran EBAY, I'm sure you'll get that label to stick, and I'm sure you won't offend women (and senior) voters along the way.

Taxpayers are sick of gold-plated pensions for state workers and california facing bankruptcy with decimated services and higher taxes and fees to boot.

I'm a Democrat, and I'm pro-union, but with the current state of the economy, the union scandals, the financial brink we're facing, and the lack of creative vision coming out of the Brown camp, plus the fact that Meg started WAY early, with LOADS of dough, and that it's the year (or rather, the generation) of WOMEN IN POLITICS (and on the Supreme Court)...

I say Meg wins BIG (unless Jerry starts to run a professional campaign or Meg makes big mistakes, which I don't see happening any time soon).

Plus, Meg is "in the zone"...she's SO confident, SO relaxed...she ends her radio ads with her OWN voice, and you can tell there's a smile on her face (she loves going in for the kill, going for the jugular, she's mastered the art of negative campaigning).

And, frankly, the men have had their chance and have screwed-up this state...sometimes "it takes a woman."

We're in a horrible recession, looking at years of past, present, and future financial mismanagement by our State Legislature and Governor. Meg's a businesswoman and Jerry's a career politician. Guess who's going to win ?

Oh, and Jerry hasn't impressed me as Attorny General until JUST recently. And apparently the position was JUST a stepping stone to run for an even higher office. That's EXACTLY why people don't like career politicians: they completely lose touch with the general public, and become all about their personal ambitions. It's all musical chairs, large paychecks, and schmoozing for them.

It's too bad that the Democrats couldn't put up better candidates.

Maybe next time.

PS: Brown says "and no new taxes without voter approval." Notice he didn't say "2/3 voter approval". So, technically, he hasn't promised squat, b/c it's easy to trick half of the voters half of the time. SNEAKY...caught ya, Jerry....MISLEADING !!!

Jerry says:

"and no new taxes without (majority) voter approval"

Notice that he did NOT say:

"and no new taxes without two-thirds (2/3) voter approval"

There's a BIG difference between the two!!

Prepare to pay A LOT more taxes (and "fees")!

How very sneaky, Jerry.

How very MISLEADING.
