Does Gov. Jan Brewer Need an Extended Vacation?
What follows are two bizarre videos that bring into question the mental stability of the Governor of Arizona. Yes, we know these clips are all over the tee-vees and the internets, but we wanted to get your opinion on this disturbing behavior.
This one is from Gov Jan Brewer's opening statements at her
first and possibly last gubernatorial debate. What the heck caused the 10 second brain lock and then strange cackle?
This second clip comes from moments after the debate when Gov. Brewer is asked about her false assertion that decapitated bodies have been found in the Arizona desert. She goes into auto-respond mode and then suddenly shuts down and walks away.
Is Leisure World calling her name?
UPDATE Via TPM: Gov. Jan Brewer (R) has put the kibosh on all future debates with her Arizona gubernatorial opponent Terry Goddard (D), after her rather embarrassing display at Wednesday's debate. "I don't believe that things come out in proper context in an adversarial atmosphere," she defended herself.

Ask her how many states there are.
If she says "57," she's got the same mental capacity as the President of the United States.

I am speechless. I know Schwarzenegger is not the most articulate Governor, but this woman makes him look and sound like a f'ing genius. This comment is not intended in any way to praise Arnold, but sheeesh, this woman in truly out to lunch, ya know, all the lights are on (dim) but nobody's home.

Off topic, I know, but John and Ken were really ragging on Trutnaich tonight. He still hasn't charged the Venice shit dumping RV people with any crimes. What gives? Is he pandering to Rosendahl? How difficult is it to charge these crappy people with a crime? Apparently John and Ken were really pissed because Trutanich had told them he would always come on the show, but today he wasn't available. Say it ain't so.

In the first one, I still can't get over the fact that she said, "we have did" something. I'm just stunned.
In the second one, she was obviously lying through her yellowed white teeth and had no way of getting around it.
Sad, pathetic, disgusting and the tea baggers can't really want her, do they?

Dream On, Joe B.
Brewer will win her election.
She's ahead by double digits.

And I really need a haircut after watching that too. I cannot walk around LA with this perfect Republican cut. I need something wild. What does Socialist hair look like?

Dear Naive Phil:
The issue is not whether or not she will win. The issue is whether or not this is kind of person we want in elected office.
She obviously didn't prepare her answer, and she certainly had to know she would have had an opportunity to answer this kind of a wide-open question. During a campaign every candidate is either given this opportunity or takes it anyway. "Why should people vote for you?" It's something you repeat over and over. She kept looking down at notes and still had a brain freeze.
She is an example of what happens when people vote for a candidate based upon their party and not on their personal qualities.
Clearly she is not as smart as a 5th grader.

I'd (uh) bet she's currently (uh, uh) operating at about (uh, uh) the equivalent of an (uh, uh, uh), 1.4 grade point (uh) average.
Now which current 2-term mayor of the nation's 2nd largest city does THAT (uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh) bring to mind?

I just saw her explanation of her train wreck on the TV news. It was filled with "ums" and on its own made her look mentally challenged.
