Councilman Huizar needs your help for 2011. Wonder why??
"Maybe not again in 2011?"Shout out to all those "connected non-profits", those seeking gainful employment and others in search of future city contracts, this is a must if you wish to become part of the "political in crowd" within the "Cut and Paste Banana Republic of CD 14".
As those in the "connected non-profit community" should know, these are the types of expenditures, errrr, token of appreciation, that you budgeted for in the contingency line-item of you city contract budget. Remember to remind your employees, that $100 is small change compare to losing your CD 14 public contract.
But the key question here is why Councilman Huizar needs to raise money for his re-election campaign when no one has officially announce their intention to challenge the incumbent??
Could it be that the rumors of a prominent CD 14 business person, taking on Huizar are true?? Stay tune...................

I despise Huizar, a pompous jackass if ever there was one, but what is newsworthy about an elected official doing a fundraiser? What is even remotely out of the norm here? Just because YOU and I both hate this guy, doesn't make this interesting.

Huziar is a clown and has no accomplishments in his district except for allowing illegals to run rampant and close down hard working businesses who have been there for over 20 years. He's as corrupt as they come. THe kiss asses who support Huizar have low self esteem, have a daddy approval complex, have no respect for themselves and are pretty much little groupies. I hope that wonderful, experienced, successful, hard working, loves people Businessman comes out soon. I can't tell you how many people are ready to jump on board with him alrleady.
Why would someone support Jose Huizar for re-election? I'm confused.
It's considered "pre" emptive in our line of work, Mr. yohnson. Start raising money BEFORE there's any need of it, to send a message to the wannabes that they'll need major money to combat the incumbent - that the current occupant of the seat won't be rolling over, so save your pennies for when he's finally termed out.
Ain't no thang! Just Local Politics 101.
And don't believe all those early rumors about prominent this-or-that's "taking on" Huizar. They'd spend their money better buying lottery tickets, or placing bets on whether they'll be struck by lighting, than running against an incumbent eastside councilmember.
Remember that Antonio's second-term as mayor was being eyed by a "prominent business person," too. Instead, he faced the seven dwarfs of City Council public comment periods, and barely had to campaign.
BTW, any "prominent CD14 business persons" (I think that MAY be an oxymoron in the current financial climate) - if they still exist in the Catorce - will be sitting in co-sponsor seats at Jose's aforementioned shindig.
Huizar has too many skeltons and not enough accomplishments (like HIS accomplishments for the district not just something he tied his name too) to be re-elected. CD 14 deserves someone that isn't the city's laziest councilmember
i heard huizar is scared shitless because Cedillo will be declaring soon. Who is he gonna get to run his campaign?
