Chris Essel Appointed Head of CRA

The Mayor's candidate in last year's Council District 2 special election, Christine Essel, has received her consolation prize and has been appointed head of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA).

The appointment had been rumored for weeks.

Chris Essel's failed City Council campaign had come under harsh criticism for the tremendous amount of money raised through independent expenditure contributions by the IBEW and a donors list that featured nearly every special interest that feeds at the municipal trough or wreaks havoc in local communities.

The downtown insiders and developers of the Central City Association, of which Chris is a former chair, could be heard licking their chops as news of the appointment was announced.

Now if Phil really wanted a cause it would be to shut down the CRA. If the average folks out there knew what the CRA did heads would roll.

Hell Obama wants to reform Wall Street. CRA is just as bad if not worse!

Reform Spring Street!

Well Phil worships Chris Essel, so I don't think that's going to happen.

Phil is an idiot.
Chris is corrupt, but clever enough to charm the losers in the race. Wow, she had COFFEE with you, Phil. Woopeee.

Smart pick. Chris is good with unions and good with developers. NIMBY bluster on mayor sam aside, this city desperately needs construction jobs - anything to help people put food on the table.

How does this get turned into a discussion about Phil. I thought Mayor Sam took on causes? Why not take on the CRA, then? For someone who isn't an elected or appointed official, sure is a lot of banter on Mr. Phil.

Phil is a lost cause, hence the attention.

Essel the empty vessel.

This is outrageous, she was clearly rejected by the voters in CD2.

6:27 really means to say "Anything that will raise billing at Latham & Watkins".

6:47pm aka Phil Jennerdoodle,

You will be an ongoing discussion point on this blog until:

1. You admit you fucked up the recall

2. You admit you never had a plan

3. You admit youre a fucking idiot

4. The deadline passes without the signatures you promised

5. The campaign is over.

6. Or just admit that you're one of the biggest fuckups of all time.

That's the great thing about the 120 days until the recall deadline. The more Phil lies and deceives, the more beating he's gonna get.

Make sense now?

Well, with Phil now posting about "The Art of War" and how he thinks he allegedly outwitted an opponent, he's clearly not focused on the recall.

As long as he continues his lies and charade, he should continue to be outed here for the fraud that he is.

Phil,
Congratulations, you just alienated every voter that despises dirty tricks and dishonest, devious wanna be politicians. You are truly scum.

Latest word on the Recall;

-David Hernandez did not go to Phoenix today to beg for money to pay professional signature gatherers because his "marks" flat out told him to get lost.

-Walter Moore has abandoned ship.

-Phil Jennerjahn has been demoted to cheerleader. David & Dege are now calling the shots.

- Signature count is still under 5000.

-Dege is being chided by the medical marijuana community for her involvement with Phil.

Chris Essel as head of the CRA is bad news for anyone looking to reform the pay to play system in Los Angeles.

Look for rammed through approvals and
even less community input.

She needs to be stopped. What the hell is that stupid mayor thinking? No wonder everyone hates him so much.

First he tells the neighborhood councils what he really thinks of them and now he is showing those pesky activists who are always trying to get infrastructure in place in L.A. what he thinks of them. F--- your infrastructure.

We've got water to conserve and the answer is to build something, anything so that construction workers have jobs? Really 6:27? What will they build? Maybe a subway. That's the only thing we need and I doubt that airhead is up to the job.

Uh oh. I bet she goes after Sunland-Tujunga pretty hard. Paybacks are a bitch, eh?

Blame the crooked Mayor for hiring the crooked Essel! The city is supposed to provide services, not jobs. Whose hands are in whose pockets? This sucks, down with the CRA and out with the Mayor and Essel. They continually bleed community members to death.
