Essel : Fully Reloaded
The place was in high spirits and Christine was making call after call to voters and contacts. Sometimes Christine got so busy she had to hand off some of the calls to her staffers to finish up details and paperwork. Christine was overjoyed to find out that the PPL had decided to increase their Independent Expenditures (IE's) for her Council campaign. The total of IE's is getting close to half a million now.
In the outer hallway I saw enormous stacks of new yard signs getting ready to go out. The new ones state that "Our Local Police Support" Christine Essel. It's hard to imagine that there are voters who would intentionally choose sides against their own law enforcement officers, but I suppose it is always possible.
Some of her staffers were choosing from boxes of new campaign literature. The Essel campaign also received more positive news while I was there. They plan to announce this in press releases next week.
The Krekorian supporters will, of course, go crazy and complain that Chris Essel is buying this election.
But you know who complains that their opponent is buying the election?
A candidate who fears that they are going to lose.

Hey ding dong:
Essel has no volunteers.
No one goes to her office unless they get paid.

They are announcing the Antonio endorsement next Tuesday.
That is the buzz from the mayors office.

Fully Reloaded alright, with IBEW cash.

Phil, She is not buying this election, the special interests are. And do you think they spend over $500,000 just because they think she's a nice lady? Payback will come
were she to win.
Fortunately, Paul is going to kick her ass back to downtown.

Apparently Chris Essel needs more money and can not play by the rules. Her supporters are suing to overturn decades old ethics laws approved by voters years ago. Why can't she win by just turning out voters? Does she really need to spend 10 times as much as Krekorian?

Phil this post is stupid.

With all the money the IBEW is pouring Essel's way, this race is turning into McDonald's vs Tommy's Burger.

You've got to be kidding me. This is your new post, Phil? This is your deep analytical assessment of the CD2 race? MS, please, it was annoying, but now it's just pathetic.

Phil, you are a mental garbage, when you glow that i. e. for the corrupt, sold out soul is approaching $500,000 and the corrupt axis of Greuel/D`Arcy are suing for more. They might as well put up a sign on City Hall. "For sale" . AEG might give them some ideas how to balance the budget by selling billboard rights. You bums should be chased out of the City you are destroying, day in day out.

Antonio`s endorsement is the kiss of defeat. Shallman is stupid, but not that stupid considering he is bleeding Essel, the imbecile, cash dry.

KREKORIAN FOR SENATOR: He's not even done with his City Council election and he's already seeking endorsement for Senator. Ask Carol Lui.

Excuse me. What local law enforcement do you mean? Certainly not my "local law enforcement". It's the union, not the rank and file, Jennerjerk. Many of the rank and file have complained about their union spending hundreds of thousands of dollars in Independent Expenditures on this election. The rank and file is being screwed by their own union and they know it. Krekorian has the endorsement of Sheriff Baca.
Name one law enforcement official who has endorsed Essel. The lawn signs, like much of Essel's campaign, is not only misleading but outright lies.
Paul's is not a union based, lobbyist based, PAC money based, downtown insider based financed candidate.
And why are you celebrating IE money? Do you support buying of seats? And don't worry, the Krekorian supporters are not in a panic. Essel cannot buy this election, no matter how much money. Krekorian has the community support far and wide in CD2 and is picking up votes and "new" votes everyday. Phil, why don't you, Essel, Sheftel, Busani, nameless homeless guy, Essavi and probably McCue, go have a group jerk off. That's about the only pleasure you're going to have with this election.

I told you clowns that Pall Krackwhorian was done weeks ago. It's over. Not even the Jack Weiss endorsement next week is going to help him.
He's an opportunist who has left the state in shambles and now he wants to bring it local. All those kids out there today protesting at UCLA, they were protesting the way Pall and his pals in Slackramento have run this state into the ground. The Regents would've had money if the legislators knew how to handle a budget.
Forget Pall. Start the recall now before he decides to run for Lt. Governor. That seat is open too.

"Our local police support Chis Essel" the banner reads, and it is inevitable that Essel's pro-law enforcement will be a powerful force with voters who know little about the candidates.
Krekorian has a problem as while many Armenians in CD2 are nationalistically supportive, the rest of the community is not quite so enthusiastic.
Krekorian's voting record will be used to show his anti-law enforcement position. Expect a blast or two in the next few days concerning his support for letting 68,000 convicts out of prison to solve a budget problem he voted to cause.

Hacopian must be shaking in his bunker based on Phil's report.

AV and Trutanich will kiss and make up. Their joint support will carry the day for Essel and send Krekorian back to Sacramento.
I don't like either candidate, I was a Mary Benson supporter until she turned her back on her supporters and backed Krekorian.
Now I see the deals that Krekorian made to get Glatazan and Benson and I agree with many who are sick and tired of Sacramento politics in Los Angeles. Paul Koretz has shown what a useless sack of flim-flam bogus rhetoric he is. The self-proclaimed "King of Pot" seems to be taking delight in the blight he helped to cause with AB420.
I'll take Essel any day. So will 50.1% of CD2 and that's enough. Read 'em and weep.

The Police Protective Leauge may be throwing the hard earned money of the officers they represent to Essel. But, most of the Officers don't live in the city. So, they can't vote for her and I best most of them wouldn't vote for her and would probably like to kick their fat butt leaders out of office for mis-spending their money! They sure as hell didn't do right by the officers during the contract negotiations. They suck at representation and negotiations and should get out of dodge! the baby bottle stealers should quit spending the Officers money because they need it for their families. That inclues Essel.
Anonymous said:
Dimwit, it's the PPL, not the Officers that support Essel.

Phil -
You understand why you came in last now, right? Is it starting to sink in? Are you concerned that you're the most ill-informed citizen who has an interest in local politics? You have so much to learn.

The reason that there is a huge stack of yard signs, is that no one wants to put them in their yard. Those suckers have been sitting there for weeks.
Anonymous said:
Your an idiot. The yard signs just arrived this weds. They will be saturated over the weekend all over the district. Sitting around for weeks? Please what a schmuck. Stop throwing lies out. I know you krackwhorians are upset that your boys gonna lose. You better start making nice with Essel. Like it or not, looks like she's gonna be the next Councilwoman.
Anonymous said:
Don't worry about the yard signs - Essel's got 'Hang 'm High' coming in to plaster CD2 with so many signs that the grass roots Kreckorian campaign won't be able to do the usual campaign dirty trick and remove them.
Anonymous said:
I can't stand either candidate but will vote for Krekorian simply because he is not a downtown whore like Essel - Gruel's little buddy.
All the unions, the repulsive and stupid mayor 'Villar,' and the now-deranged pld man Riordan are Essel's supporters.
As for all the flyers, I got NINE of them in the mail TODAY -- some 28 in total this week alone. Total of perhaps 5 from Krekorian. Disgusting. I'm going to Essel's office to tell them all off and 'return' the mailers. Oh, and I'll go pick up some Krekorian yard signs just for the heck of it!
