Nuch takes on LA's Biggest Coporate Welfare Fraud

" Corporate Welfare Junkies deserve their Just Medicine"
Simply, "Bravo and Straight Ahead!!", in regards to Los Angeles City Attorney Carmen Trutanich efforts to recover the costs of city services provided for the non-permitted event that was the Michael Jackson Memorial, produced by the Anshultz Entertainment Group (AEG).
AEG's President Tim Leiweke was last seen early in the day, disgracing the fishwrap that doubles for the "Old Gray Westside Hag on Spring Street", aka LA Times.
Nuch is a bully!!, Nuch is a bully!!. was the pathetic talking points that Leiweke repeated over and over again for anyone that cared to print or record his "pleading points of spin".
But unlike the previous office holder of the top attorney office for the City of Los Angeles, there is an "backbone of principle" that now occupies LA's City Attorney office.
When lesser mortal beings would have bowed to the alter of AEG, City Attorney Carmen Trutanich had this response to AEG's Leiweke's charges of being a "bully".
“If going after your money is being a bully, then I’m a bully; I have no problem doing that,” Trutanich said. “We wasted a lot of dough on the Michael Jackson memorial. We wasted a lot of money. Now if any of you think that we didn’t, I’ll take your donation after my speech.”
Trutanich comments are refreshing after years of special interests running wild on Spring Street. It was not long ago that the likes of Leiweke, would not have even been heard from.
But now with an City Attorney, who may be rough on the edges, but committed to cleaning up Spring Street, the attacks from the likes of Leiweke, may be the opening shots from the special interests who do not like the spotlight on their dubious dealings at City Hall.
Your thoughts................

It's about freaking time somebody got the city's money back from AEG for that stupid memorial service.

Can you believe our city spent millions to commemorate the life of a child molestor like Michael Jackson?

Kick their asses, Nuch!!!!

Bravo! Finally a blog with some integrity. Glad to see that Mayor Sam sees this all for what it is, a typical special interest throwing a tantrum because they can't get City Hall to roll over like they used to do.

Hopefully this Trutanich can represent a new kind of politician...someone who actually stands up for the people, isn't just a shill for big money interests like most of what we have in office today.

Wah wah wah, nasty Nuch is bullying the City's biggest insider, the company that bilked the City out of $250M to build the Staples Center, and now they are crying like sissies.

They even said that Nuch was playing tough with them only because they supported that fucking asshole Jack Weiss to be a nice corrupt, manageable City Attorney.

Sure AEG backed the wrong horse in the City Attorney's race, but why should Nuch care? He won!

If AEG thinks anyone in LA really thinks that AEG is being bullied when they made the City spend $6M so that they could hype their 'memorial for a pedophile drug addict' they must be smoking medical marijuana. AEG sold the video from the 'memorial' for $60M to Sony, and now they're being 'bullied' into paying the City back?

I think this City needs more bullies like that!

Red, you got this one right! Well, even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.

Nuch is right on this one andneeds to stay the course. AEG will blink, because they cannot bear to be on the wrong side of Nuch.

here's the real story oin their signs: The can post all the info about the venue and what's playing on their signs by law; but they want MORE!!! They want to post other stuff and sell the space to advertisers.

Nuch says NO!! NUch is right again.

Tim, you are riding a dead horse; the common wisdon says time to dismount.

Nuch is not easily intimidated, as Tim will find out. Tim was dumb to whine about being bullied; he sounds like a little girl crying to daddy.

Nuch sure got bitch-slapped today!

But he didn't have the guts to take it in person, sent in Bill Carter - who puts the S in Shady and Slime. WHY is he ruining a moderately good career by cleaning up for the Nooch when Nooch doesn't have the guts to go in himself? Chicken out after a few clownish grandstanding photo ops misfired at the Clowncil?

If you want a Friday night laugh, check out Jon Regardie's satire in L A Downtown News of an early City Hall House of Halloween Haunted Horrors. Trutanich as the "two-faced demon" who promised hugs and candy but you know - and the zombie screaming "Arrest! Arrest!" chasing down anyone who says the words billboard of Supergraphic. He's not alone for a razzing but the only one who gets Triple Threat - and that's before today's Council meeting.

To be fair, Antonio's Telecaster Tunnel of Love is there, too, but he's been outshined in the buffoon dept., and the Worst Legal Mind with Least Distinguished Academic Career in City Government. Except at least he's not pretending to be a good lawyer.

8:08, who's "common wisdom" was it that Tim's "a dead horse, time to dismount?" Oh, Nooch, no!!! We're counting on you to flush them out!!!

Reading RonKaye and the like is like someone died.

It's strange that whenever Trutanich is challenged, somehow people come to the boards with such knowledge about the issues, with the same tone, and over zealous praise of Trut. Me thinks Trutanich is behind his positive support on boards. I believe he multi-posts and asks people in his office to post.

These boards do not reflect real public opinion. Quite obvious. This guy is arrest crazy, accusation crazy and thinks everything is a criminal offense. Someone get him out of there!
