Has Chris Essel Ever Parked in Studio City?

This announcement recently crossed our in-box. With 50 days to go, Chris Essel has opened a campaign office in Studio City:
  • Studio City Canvass at OUR NEW OFFICE
  • Saturday, August 8, 2009
  • 10am-12:30pm
  • 12265 Ventura Blvd., Suite 202, Studio City
  • There is ample free parking along Ventura Blvd. and surrounding areas in addition to valet parking on site.
  • For more info, please contact Dana at (818) 406-1213
Uh, does anyone out there know where ample free parking in Studio City is? Ventura Boulevard is dotted with no arm bandits most of the surrounding lots force you to cough up a pot full of shekels. Only someone who does not know the Valley would claim free street parking in Studio City. And in an Eva Peron flashback moment Essel asks people to valet park if they don't want to bother finding that elusive free parking.

Even Wikipedia knows parking in Studio City sucks.

Perhaps Team Essel was looking at this photo of Ventura Blvd to determine where that free parking was. Next time, try Google Streetview.

Has Krekorian ever finished an office he was elected to? Or has he left every single one in mid term to HOP to another office? Just curious.......how much money hes already cost the state in special elections.

Krekorian's office is way is the middle of nowhere in Valley Glen. Has Tamar even set one up? Rumor has it she can't fundraise AT ALL!!! And what's up with the "valet" comment, last time I checked, to go from private to public sector is a big pay cut, so no need to be nasty.

hey essel staffer at 3:53, essel's not moving from the private sector, she's moving from the unemployed sector, which is where she's at right now.

Valley Glen is the middle of nowhere? I suppose that's probably how essel's campaign feels about the entire district.

Of course, why are we even worried about parking, no ones going to show up anyways.

I just went to the address listed on the post. The office is closed, there is nothing in the office, and the parking is miserable. this campaign is a joke

Free Parking in Studio City is parking on Laural Grove, Cantura, Ventura Ct, Hillslope etc... It is not that hard try any of the local residential streets. I found parking in 5 min today.

What a bunch of idiots.

That is the busiest corner in Studio City, and its permit parking for miles around.

But then again, if your phone bank is Wendy and her staff, the valet parking should do.

Boy this is getting very funny.

I wonder if AV told her all the shit that is involved in a campaign.

If she knew, i doubt she would have run. Campaigns are not for dumb socialites.

If she opened up an office down there, then I guess you can see where she plans on pulling her votes from. Grassroots candidates - take note. Concentrate on those voters. Learn how to run the numbers or Shallman will kick your ass.

And to 3:33, Tamar hasn't finished an office either.

I saw Tamar use the NoHo gateway event as a platform to campaign...classless. well, it took some spotlight off the nasty piece of caca for two minutes at least. will read your live blog of the debate.

TELL ME IS THIS RACE A 2 PERSON RACE THAT'S ALL THAT YOU SEEM TO TALK ABOUT ON THIS SITE. I GUESS IT'S STARTING TO SEEM LIKE DEMOCRACY BY WAY OF COMMUNISM. WE HAVE MANY CANDIDATES IN CD5 GIVE THEM BIG EQUAL PRINT TIME.

So, will campaign contributions be used to pay for VALET parking for "volunteers"?

Absolutely ridiculous to open a headquarters at a location where there isn't a dedicated parking area. Or, that is, at least not if the HQ is intended to be anything more than window dressing for the campaign???
