Chris Essel's "Carpetbag" Full of Special Interest Cash
For the regular readers here at Mayor Sam, we bloggers are together known as the "bloggin burros", a moniker bestowed on us by a "arse" some time back.
But now, one and all "bloggin burros" must take a stand and protest the exploitation of burros by carpetbagging politicians, the gall, the horror, the lack of humanity!!
Judging by the background in the above photo, this poor beast was wandering the hills of Sunland-Tujunga, Lakeview Terrace or following La Tuna Canyon Road in search of its current employer Chris Essel. That is a long way from Sunset and Doheny, but I digress.
And what does one find in the over-laden bag ?? Examine these items,

This first trip of many for Essel's carpetbag-laden burro, brought into CD-2 $119,939 dollars of Special Interest cash to sway CD-2 voters. No word yet on how fellow carpetbagger Paul Krekorian will transport his carpetbag into CD-2, But one can guess his carpetbag will have the "union label" and cash accessories.
Then there is the question of Tamar Galatzan's "husband-baggage" and whether she evens wants to carry that around in certain parts of CD-2, but at least it is well known and native to CD-2.
But lastly, some may hope that horse lover Mary Benson could ride off and intercept the next trip by our exploited burro, and save the beloved beast and Council District 2 from exploitation from out of district, carpet-bagging politicos ??
Your thoughts..........

All anyone needs to know is Chris Essel is an Antonio person plain and simple. She's done nothing for any community. She's a rich ex employee of Paramount. When the debates begin ask her what her position is on the AEG mess with Jackson. Reports are now coming out AEG may be sued for liability having lied to Michael Jackson about how many concerts he was scheduled to do then changing from 10 to 50.

Money talks and bullshit walks.
Money often translates to votes, despite the wishes of the blogging burros, because you see, you can buy places on slates (when applicable), do mailers, even do billboards, paper ads, etc.
How much have the others raised?
This election is in three weeks; moment of truth happens fast.
Can she buy name recognition that quickly?
Stay tuned.

If any one had any doubts who AV supports is to see a Renewable Resources Group check to Essel.
This is a company owned by AV's good friend Ari Swiller. He would not do any thing without AV's blessing.

The more the downtown money the less the CD2 votes.
She is going no where fast.

I guess some one did not pay attention to the March or May results.
Money from developers, billboard companies, lobbyists means a well funded, but yet doomed campaign.
There is enough in this report to finish her off.

How corrupt and sneaky is Smith? So bad he puts out a false story and dumb ass AP picks it up. Bratton has been out of town on vacation. He's not quoted but Mrs. Doubtfire Greig Smith is. Guess it pays the PPL to promote a Smith event and he'll do their dirty work of Police Protective League morons.
....Councilman Greig Smith, who chairs the Public Safety Committee, introduced a motion Friday to give the council, rather than the chief, final say on who can wear the LAPD uniform. He was supported by at least five other members. Within hours of the motion being filed, Smith sent an e-mail to Councilman Dennis Zine, saying that "Chief Bratton has already capitulated on the Movie cops and will work with us to transition the unit over to the General Services Office of Public Safety." Bratton wanted the movie-set security guards to wear white shirts and black pants to differentiate them from LAPD officers, largely for liability reasons.

Yes 11:44. that fat donut eating slob, Mrs. Doubtfire outfits and wigs wearing moron Zine has been bashing Bratton for years. It's no secret he'd like to push him out to make the job elected like his buddy Weber of PPL wants, so they can elect one of their own, like Zine or Smith? The other Mrs. Doubtfire.
That's why they pushed for Trutanich and stabbed Jack in the back, even though Trutanich and Zine didn't support LAPD and the rank and file in the Jackson affair. They're dumb enough to think the rank and file hates Bratton like PPL and Weber do, they're so wrong. There's talk amongst the rank and file they've been so sold out, they'd rather join the Teamsters.
What a pathetic pair they are, sure they identify with the out-of-shape retired cops like them and they're doing the dirty work of PPL to get at Bratton.
The word "capitulated" tells it all.
Plus Smith is featured in an Orlov article for Daily News last week or two admitting he's miffed because Bratton's "ego" doesn't seem to understand that he answers to the Council.
Meaning these two Mrs. Doubtfires, Bitter Bernie and Jan Perry, who's still bashing LAPD as insensitive to the black community despite polls and first- hand reports to the contrary, except for a few gangbanger types.
The Mrs. Doubtfires plus anyone with a jealousy issue can't move on with their lives until the one competent person we have left in office, Bratton, has had enough of them and moves on.

It's so transparent that the PPL made the wrong choice backing Trutanich over Weiss, with his close ties to the mayor and Bratton, who they happen to want to replace with someone they can control. Something they have in common with Zine and Smith.
However, Zine, Smith and Parks have all voted to cut police hiring along with Rosendahl and what may become a majority. Smith and Parks have denied that the tripled trash fee hikes or the Phone Tax S were EVER promised for the 1000 cops we were clearly promised.
So PPL under Weber have so screwed their rank and file in so many ways they're now trying to buy Koretz as Weiss's replacement on public safety to make amends. (And ANYONE they can to try to get a weak majority.)
Though Koretz has no experience or gravitas in the area. He's still finding his feet in Council - when he talked about having a policy that "is no kill" regarding LAFD cuts, he inspired so much wrath from the others it's an Orlov article. I think Koretz is a nice guy but as a replacement for Weiss n CD5 he's absurd. That's what you get when a handful of old HOA and NC people with SLAP etc. make so much noise, they scare off those who could be strong leaders.
We're seeing that in CD2 also - the candidates are pandering to the various HOA's instead of daring to put forth a central vision which could upset someone. With S-T people not caring about Sherman Oaks or Studio City and v.v. we'll end up with someone so vanilla they'll be worse than Koretz or Vahedi.

Let's see where the dumb ass PPL police union puts their money in CD2 spot. They are praising themselves for putting Nuch in which I didnt' agree at first but now I like him. Then they paid a fortune to get the weirdo Paul Koretz in CD5. All PPL does is buy candidates. They do nothing for their own rank and file. Having council members so envious and jealous of a successful Chief makes them look like the idiots that they are. Notice its the weirdos like Zine, Smith, Perry, Bitter Bernie all teaming up like a bunch of bullies. The people will revolt if they keep this shit up. People are getting tired of their bullshit.
Anonymous said:
3:32, how can you say you don't like "the weirdos" like Zine, Smith, Perry and Parks who are all "ganging up like bullies" on Bratton, but like Nuch, when HE represents THEM over Bratton? There was a good reason Bratton stuck his neck out for Weiss.
You're being inconsistent here - this blog has spent the last few years trashing Weiss for no reason except he sticks to his guns and views, and never bothered to respond to any of the crap here or in nuch's dirty campaign, so your "reasoning" falls apart. Nuch is the leader in attacking Bratton like he did after the Jackson events and he's shown how stupid he is in publicly accusing AEG before there was any "crime." If AEG is sued by the Jacksons over a contractual issue that has NOTHING to do with the city, no reason Trutanich and Zine should have stuck their noses in the middle.
Sure the PPL is patting itself on the back over Nuch, that is ZINE and the others you list as "bullies" are.
Because they're clueless and hoping to fool the public. But despite the readers of the Daily News and listeners of rightwing am radio, the intelligent people don't like them attacking Bratton.

This first report will be her undoing.
Just connect the dots between the downtown insiders and the money they are giving to her and she is dead meat.

PPL seems to be backing away from endorsing any one person due to the backlash from their own rank & file and missteps, so they're spreading the money around to hedge their bets this time. Another factor: Lately PPL/Weber have been backpedaling in the media and kissing upto Antonio to try to kiss and make up. So they may skew donations more heavily in the other direction, toward his candidates.

For the Record, SLAP had nothing to do with the election of Korentz.
Only the people in CD 5 voted for him.

Does this leave any doubt that Red Spot is a Hacopian/Krekorian machine stooge?
Post 10:26 am is Eric Hacopian himself. You gotta change writing style every once in a while, Eric.
Someone must have told you to tie Chris Essel to the Mayor, even though Krekorian's politics are much closer to Antonio's, and even though Krekorian is part of the same racialist ethnic machine politics that plague places from East LA to Israel.
"Vote for me, because I am one of you."
Nice, Eric.
