Congrats, Zuma!

You have as good a chance of winning as any of them.

Good Luck!

PS: If you win, stay grounded, don't become one of "them", and keep fighting the "fraud, waste, and abuse" and representing those of us that don't have a voice at City Hall.

To the spokeshole at @ 9:27.

If residency were an issue, he would already have been disqualified by the City Clerk's office.

They decide.

No court is going to remove a winner after the fact and go against the will of the people and the will of the government department in charge of the election.

If you spend the whole election obsessing about "residency", you're going to lose real badly.

Yes! It is time for change! Ron Kaye is always talking "grassroots this and grassroots that" and people are always bitching and moaning about the way the city is run. Zuma Dogg is as grassroots as you can get. That's a good thing! All you people in CD2 quit your bitching and moaning and do something about it by voting for Zuma Dogg! And everyone else across the city that is fed up with our city government tell everyone you know in CD2 to take a few minutes on election day and vote for change in the city. This will be a strong step in taking back city government. We need an outsider on the inside.

What's most reprehensible about Krekorian is he acts entitled to the seat because he's a big name politician.

Now all of a sudden he's a Valley guy who cares deeply about the issues in CD-2. F$%K THAT!

I hope someone puts him in his place and I don't care if it's Essel or Tamar or Zuma.

Krekorian lose = CD-2 and L.A. win.

Zuma needs to shore up his support quickly if he wants to win and start by apologizing to Ron Kaye and Nuch for his out-of-line behavior.

July 30, 2009 11:08 AM

Get real. Zuma isn't going to apologize to Ron Kaye and Carmen Trutanich. The behavior wasn't out of line. In fact, Zuma's two missives on both were very heartfelt. So deal with it.

You guys are such crybabies! I can 100% assure you, Ron is not as big of a crybaby as you are and he doesn't care about ZD's post. He LOVES ZD, even if he always has to add, "with all your craziness" at the end, every time. He just doesn't like to post about me cause I'm like Honda and he's trying to be Acura. But obviously we have similar activist interests and ZD likes to call him to run stuff past him and vet stuff I hear and although I am SURE you will not see Ron endorsing ZD ever, we are still activists and bloggers and over all rabble-rousers and will be pushing in the same direction on those BIG key things in the future probably.

What gets people elected in CD2 is the ability to address the local issues. Zuma knows nothing about them and will show no desire to understand them. That's not being grassroots.

He needs to talk about the zoning around the golf course, Foothill Blvd., dangerous crosswalks, pot shops, bikers, and not Deming.

You are insane! You already condem me that I don't know about local issues. You are just insane? Have you forgot you are speaking of? I have spent over three years listening to people about that stuff and other stuff at city hall and on the phone. And I will be addressing all of those issues at the forums and in questions.

"Zuma knows nothing about them and will show no desire to understand them." WHO THE HELL ARE YOU? CAN I BORROW YOUR DELORIAN "BACK TO THE FUTURE" MACHINE OR MINDREADING DEVICE, because you say I WILL show NO desire to understand them.

YOU IDIOT...AND YOU ARE AN IDIOT FOR ATTACKING ME ON THAT ISSUE:

YOU HAPPEN TO BE TALKING TO SOMEONE WHO HAS SPENT COUNTLESS..ENDLESS...UNLIMITED HOURS TALKING TO PEOPLE ABOUT THESE TYPES OF ISSUES...ON THE PHONE, BY EMAIL, IN THE CHAMBERS...AS A HOBBY!!!

I HAVE SEEKED IT OUT!!!

Everybody knows this, but now, you know I WILL NOT this and DO NOT THAT. You should drop out of the election and open a psychic shop.

5:40pm,

In addition to my earlier response, here are some other things.

In CD2, first thing that comes to mind is how Wendy ignored zoning and planning and let land speculators and developers with her cronie COS Dale Thrush run roughshout through the district.

Now, you have all this vacant land and property in the district. THE SPECULATORS CREATED THE BLIGHT!!!

Zuma Dogg has innovative solutions like Tenant's Right To Purchase proposals, land severance, ownership co-oping of some of these vacant housing properties.

Something else that bothered Zuma Dogg about Wendy and Dale in CD2, is how the tenants got treated by landlords when they were put on notice to move out, when they were flipped in the condo-conversion process.

Many of these people had six months left to live in these buildings, but the landlords started construction while the people were still living there, and you would have buzz saws and saw dust all over the place and construction going on 10 feet away from your window.

WENDY DID NOTHING FOR HER PEOPLE!

And if Zuma Dogg knows this, it is because the people in her district told me at city hall at some point.

The Verdugo Golf Course. For the record...ZD feels the members of the community do not want a bunch of homes built on the open space. Sunland-Tujunga is not trying to be NYC! No housing in the open space, please.

I guess it's the same for the other golf project on Whitsett.

Valley Village was the FIRST nightmare that Zuma Dogg heard about over three years ago, when I first entered chambers and people from the district were quick to pull ZD over and tell him, "The middle class residents are getting screwed by Wendy as she lets developers get their way on the backs of the residents; and when you say the middle class has left the city...WHERE DO YOU THINK THEY ARE LEAVING FROM???

HOLLYWOOD Runaway production, a big issue to address as councilmember.

In S-T, I know the water is a real issue cause you have horses and a lot of dry land; so you have to fight for SOME kind of price break or loosening of water restrictions in these much hotter areas.

Also, LAND USE is people's BIG issue in S-T and Shadow Hills. Including things like your neighbor's fence; benches for workers to sit on instead of someone's fence in front of the bus stop...vagrants living where they shouldn't.

AND OF COURSE, I'm going to push BIG to raise awareness and help communities get involved with the LAUSD "community take overs" that I blogged about on my blog today."

So those are a few of the more local things that I think of when I think of CD2.

AND OF COURSE...THE DISPENSARY ISSUE...that is certainly is one!
