The traveling roadshow of community engagement that is Councilman Jose Huizar's "Huevos with Huizzy Dialog Tour" kicked off in Eagle Rock.
And unlike his previous incarnation where the audience was subjected to a 80 minute filibuster, the Councilman engage his "selected stakeholders" in a "Q & A" on community issues.
Of course one has to be "invited" to attend these "Huevos with Huizzy" chat sessions.
You can also guess who was the first to slap himself on the back for his "Huevos with Huizzy" chat series ??

Last Friday we kicked off our community stakeholders and leaders meeting in the Northeast at the 20th Century Women’s Club with an amazing morning of discussion. Joined by several of the Northeast non-profits (Southwest Society ??), community leaders (who contribute to my campaign) and stakeholders (that support me) I was happy to share information on what I have been doing in the City Council (short amount of time for that topic) and throughout the area. Some of the issues covered:

** The "Save Los Angeles Project" (SLAP) makes a return engagement to Glassell Park.
The Saving LA Project -- one year old on Bastille Day -- will hold its monthly meeting this Saturday, July 18, at 1 p.m. at the Glassell Park Community Center, 3750 N. Verdugo Road, next to Glassell Park.
** Meanwhile Ron has the latest on the Greuel vs. Trutanich which is the sequel to Rocky vs. Laura regarding oversight authority.
** AEG's Tim Leiweke enter the "Lion's Den" that is KFI's "John and Ken Show" during the 3:00 PM hour on Wednesday. He stated that AEG "donated the Staples Center and administrated time to the Jackson Family, he did not know where city officials got their estimated numbers on crowds and continue his verbal spat with Councilman Dennis Zine. ** Measure R, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's $40,000,000,000 scheme to dough out contracts to improve the transportation infrastructure is still in the "+" territory when it comes to public opinion.

The bicycle phenomenon known as Midnight Ridazz had a near tragedy as they rode down Avenue 52 this past Friday night. Around midnight (hence the name), as hundreds of cyclists were making their way from Griffith Park, through Highland Park, and on their way over to Lincoln Heights during the Neverland-themed ride, the group was attacked as they descended down Avenue 52 just before the Pasadena Freeway at Bomer Drive.
When the rolling mass of cyclists with blinking lights, bells, horns, and amplified music trailers went rolling by a house party on 52, the occupants there started yelling, “Fuck you white boys!” (despite the diverse crowd of men and women of every skin color) As the blocks-long group of bikes continued to pass, the group of men in the yard started throwing beer bottles, pots, and anything they could find at the cyclists. (As of this post, there was still bits of broken Corona bottles and white ceramic shards in the Avenue there.) Then they came at them with shovels and started knocking people off bikes and successfully manage to steal one bike from a local cyclist as he was dodging a swinging shovel.
As the cyclists tried to defend themselves and rescue the fallen cyclists from the street, someone from the house pulled out a 22 from his pocket and shot a male cyclist in the back. The shooter then fled, and the other assailants ran back into the house and turned off the lights to hide. Highland Park’s LA Fire Department #12 was on the scene within five minuets. Unfortunately, LAPD officers from Hollenbeck Division didn’t arrive until 15 minutes later. Several suspects were apprehended.
In this case, the cyclist was extremely lucky, it was a small caliber bullet that missed his spine by less than an inch, and who’s impact was partly shielded by the bag he was wearing on his back. The wound proved not to be too serious, the bullet got lodged in his back muscles. (See, more benefits of cycling: strong back muscles!)

Speaking of dumbasses Rev. Village Idiot Carr posted on his twitter Atty General Holder went to Nickerson Gardens for a meeting to see the sham called Summer Night Lights. Even Celeste Fremon says its questionable. BUT what happened to all the media attention? Clowncil just approved $75,000 out of City General Purposes Fund for El Grito celebration. Fee waivers for this event will be next.
The clowncil supports reducing the 2/3 vote needed to raise state taxes to bare majority over 1/2, what a surprise these guys and gals like to tax. Garcetti, Hahn, LaBong, and former state Assemblymembers Koretz, Wesson and Alarcon especially for it.
Sure anything to have to avoid making cuts or dealing with illegal immigrants, raise taxes and cut social services on citizen elderly and kids who don't have decent schools, and poor citizens have had their clinics and ER's close or have enormous waits because of the illegals. I hate all those xenophobes around people like Walter Moore and numbers usa and Kevin James but damn, this city including Zine the hypocrite are going the wrong way.
Hahn just raised the wages of a lot of LAX area workers and gave their whole families free healthcare over the objections of business and airlines who say it will raise per employee costs at least $8000/ year and actually mean they'll have to cut jobs.
There will be lawsuits over this.

Mayor Villaraigosa’s Press Secretary Matt Szabo has definitely embraced the use of his new Twitter account to spread City Hall’s message - whatever that is. But, he may want to watch what he tweets. We already know about the twagic mistake of tweeting for MJ donations in the name of Tony. Now, there’s this:
This “meanest city” report really is weak on the facts and methodology. Casey Hernandez (a woman btw) gets it right.
The Twitter update is at least consistent with the Angry Matt Szabo theme. It’s the “a woman btw” comment that bothers me. What exactly does that mean? Is he amazed that she got something right, in spite of the fact that she is a woman?
Thank you ZD and others that watch the city council and put a lot of time and work into making sure things go right, or at you try to make sure things go right.
Most people do not have the time to keep on top of things. Thanks for doing the work you do.

In reading this blog, I find myself in company of many American Citizens/born from CD14, Huizar and staff do not like me either. It is apparent that he liked one or both of the guys that got killed and found next Oscar's Bar in Boyle Heights, a few door east of El Mercado, Huizar's favorite place, he likes Mr. Rosado and Mercedes. That was the fastest response from Huizar to put up $75,000 reward. Why?
The Mayor,AV, is too smart to keep Huizar around. Latinos we need to be smart as to who we vote for. Huizar does not have alliance to the USA or CD14, specially Boyle Heights. Huizar and AV promise the Latino everything under the sun, but never make good on their promises. And when call on it, you become their enemy, and ousted from any community event. They also have individual with gang like manners, to discourage people from questioning the movement of money out of Boyle Heights. Just research all the awards Huizar has given out, who are this people?
Everyone, including Zuma Dogg, welcome to run for CD14, just remember that AV and Huizar run on the message they are Latinos, and Latinos should vote for latinos, but I think people have learn the lesson, Hispanic politicians once they get the Latino vote, their friends are the people in West LA and developer from all over USA.
Remember the last Latino admired was responsible for all the freeways that have divided Boyle Heights, and with that also came the pollution with high alerts.
