7:14pm What is your problem? If you don't like the posts, don't read the blog! I want to see everything this blog posts. Why are you writing such angry words in caps? People are allowed to have an opinion. Don't you have anything more intelligent to say?
I think Trutanich would be a wonderful choice. He is a strong attorney and he doesn’t scare me like Jack Weiss does. I think either of them could do the job, but I think Trutanich is a better more independent choice for the city. Therefore I think this blog is doing the right thing by endorsing him.
Do you have a civilized way of explaining why you disagree?
The whole point of this blog is politics, if you don't like it, go do a Google search, find something else to read.

Overheard at a Hollywood Hills get together of voters hearing from a representative from the Weiss campaign on Sunday:
1) Jack's been criticized for overdevelopment, but that's because he supports high-density housing to cut down on commuting distances which is bad for the environment.
2) Trutanich has more money than Jack.
And then by two invited deputy City Attorneys:
3) Jack Weiss has the mentality of a US Attorney, which is superior to District Attorneys.
4) Jack tried 2 cases but they were more important than the hundreds of ordinary crimes Tutanich has tried.
5) "I just watched the way Trutanich attacked Jack at the debate. Poor Jack, he couldn't respond.
Pathetic, partisan, pitiful.
Weiss is shill for developers and the Westside elite, His lies and illegality is going to be his downfall, right around 24 hours from now.

Just want to add to what you said.
No sane deputy city attorney wants to have the office run like the U.S. Attorney's Office. That's the way it's been run for the past 8 years. It's been a complete disaster.
Everybody in the City Attorney's Office HATES the U.S. Attorney's Office. Every person that Rocky has brought in the U.S. Attorney has had ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE on how the office runs.
They don't get the high volume of misdemeanor criminal cases the city does, nor the civil court defense work and commission advisory work.
I'm not saying the DA's office is any better, but at least they prosecute many of the same laws, and their deputies sit in many of the same courthouses as deputy city attorneys.
10:50 I was shocked that these two women were actually in the City Attorney's Office. Their ethics were disgusting. They told anecdotal stories about things that other people told them and when I said "Isn't that hearsay" they said 'No.'
One of the most offensive things they said was that Trutanich was only a DA for a 'heartbeat.' When I said Trutanich was a DA for 10 years, they both looked like they wanted the ground to open up.
How can the City Attorney's Office have such liars? What this the sort of ethics that is common in the office?
Trutanich is posting HUGE and HUGELY ILLEGAL lawn signs all over the hills and right on Laurel Canyon on private property at bottom of hills without permission.
On my street in Sherman Oaks there are several I saw by chance BOLTED TO STOP SIGNS. When my neighbors and I tried to rip them off because "they're ugly" one woman said angrily, we couldn't.
They're ruining the entire pole of the STOP SIGNS. Destroying as well as defacing public property.
TYPICAL OF THAT DESPERATE PHONY WITH NO CLASS OR TASTE TRUTANICH.
Wait a minute 11:39, didn't you see Trutanich's latest mailer? It SAYS that he is against illegal billboards.
