I posted the comment under Weiss's "Palms" thread that I just got a phony "Democratic Party Guide" with JFK's picture on it. Claims to be the "Offician Endrosements of the Demoratic Party."
BUT there's Trutanich's mug grinning inside under "City Attorney." Very fine print notes candidates paid to appear and that this bogus "John F. Kennedy Alliance is not an official political party organization."
So STFU you idiot Wet Spot and your minions.
If you're going to attack someone for appearing on a mailer but are NOW TODAY nailed for paying to appear on a Demoratic mailer when you changed from Republican to "Independent" so you wouldn't smell so bad to voters, you're just showing the phony hypocricy and say-do-anything Trutanich way.

It's easy to purchase an election office position in a non-partisian race on a slate mailer. They sell to anyone running who pays the cost to be named on it. Here in LA City Government so no one cares and is not checking their party affiliation on these mailers...
So let's talk about what's really important-all the known elected officials who took "laundry money" in their election and have been notified by Ms. Pellam after an extensive investigation and have not returned it...THEY HAVE NOT BEEN PROSECUTED and ARE STILL IN OFFICE? THEY ARE CRIMINALS!!!
I question why Ms. Pellam and or staff are still employed by the people of Los Angeles? Maybe it's time we investigate her and anyone else who refuses to follow through with the public job they have been hired to do for the people of Los Angeles.

Let's keep in mind what the big picture is all about here. Should Jack Weiss become the next city attorney of Los Angeles or should it be Trutanich?
If Jack Weiss becomes city attorney, A.V.'s political machine keeps on trucking. It will be about the unions versus the people and a whole bunch of other nonsense, which means it won't be about the people at all.
The real question is: Can Weiss represent the city council? Can he represent the mayor? Can he represent the police department? Can he represent the people? Will his representation benefit the people?
Now we ask the same questions of Trutanich.
We either elect someone who will make political choices with Weiss or someone who will follow the legal avenue, which is Trutanich.
Is the election about the next "city attorney" or is it about adding another part to A.V.'s political machine?
I want a city attorney who will represent the interests of the people, according to the fairness of the law.
I'm tired of insiders. I'm tired of agendas. I just want a city attorney. We don't need the whole political gang attached to the city attorneys office. It just looks like no politician can do anything by themselves anymore. Is that leadership? Or hiding behind mommy’s skirt from the big bad man (who isn’t so bad)?
I also got the JFK mailer. I looked really closely but could not find anything saying it was paid for by the Trutanich campaign. Can you tell me where it is please? I want to bring this to the attention of the local voters group meeting tomorrow evening. Thanks

As usual, the Democrats are sending out flyers claiming that it is from the Republican Party. One even had the seal of the California Republican Party on it, but none of these slate mailers are from the Republican Party or any Republican organization. In the one case I saw it was to support Paul Koretz. Can you imagine any Republican organization supporting Paul Koretz over David Vahedi? It is misleading, but not illegal. There is nothing that can be done about these fraudulent and misleading slate mailers.
Very disapponted in Mayor Sam. Not voting for any city attorney candidate. The negative Weiss postings have turned off many voters. This blog at least use to be balanced. Now it seems Red Spot or you are getting paid to campaign for Trutanich. Why don't you post the tv commercial of Trutanich with photo of Bratton he's pretending to have endorsed him? There are a lot of Republicans supporting Koretz over Vahedi. Even though Koretz is an ultra liberal on a lot of issues, he was supportive of law enforcement in the Assembly as Chair of the Justice Committee and he was well known for being tightfisted with tax dollars.
They have been sending out those bogus Republican and Democrat slate mailings with Ronald Regan and JFK on them for years.
If your candidates are lucky they will be on BOTH of these misleading mailers.
If the candidates are even luckier they will have sample ballots not delivered to residents in the area, and that will force the people to take the bogus slate mailers with them to the polls as a reminder of who to vote for.
Candidates that were known Democrats that we were opposing appeared on both mailings and they won. One candidate we did want to win appeared on the Democrat mailing without their money and consent and won.
I wonder how many of these mailings has the D.A. seen?
