David Hernandez, Class Act!

David Hernandez showed up at last night's Sunland-Tujunga NC meeting to thank the community for sponsoring a mayoral forum and for being an involved community.

"I believe a candidate should return to thank those who participated in this election, no matter what the outcome was. I also wish to thank the STNC for presenting a forum that allowed me to get out my message."

That's class! We'll be waiting to see if any of the other candidates decide to drop by.

Thank you, Mr. Hernandez for giving us an alternative to Sleaziraigosa. I hope you might consider running for CD2.

One more reason I'm happy to have voted for him.

Joe, what percentage of the vote did Hernandez get?

What does that tell you?

Joe B.,

Hernandez is the reason we're stuck with Dick AlarCON for four more years!

Thanks a bunch, Mr. Class Act.

I can't remember the last time David Hernandez successfully backed an idea and made it come to fruition.

I would trade a class act for an effective advocate, which hernandez is not.

Posting that he came by to say thanks does nothing for the community, and only strokes your ego that you got a small peanuts pol to come to your little picnic.

It means nothing.

David played a big role against Prop B
Last time I checked it was losing

Was Hernandez THE first person against it? No.

Which major act did he LEAD a success campaign against or for? Don't distract the question by then asking what ZD or WM led. This is purely a challenge to identify what hernandez LED.

If you can identify a single one, it'll still be the exception and not the rule.

Classy job of telling Guillermo Huesca that he would be his "campaign manager" --straight from Guillermo-- only to fumble the easiest part of a campaign- signature gathering! If David couldn't get that right--apparently he thought he could circulate his mayoral papers with Huesca’s CD7 papers without accounting for what district the signatures came from or verifying them -- well done, why don’t you go back to Guillermo and apologize to him david!

Higby,

I thanked a bunch of people on the front page of my website. Including you.

I'm even willing to thank the people who voted for one of the other nine candidates for Mayor, as they did the right thing in trying to change the corrupt established order here in Los Angeles.

As for as the 55% who voted for Antonio Villaraigosa, I don't have much to say to them except "God help us" and "they don't realize what they have done"....

Hernandez and ZD should run for a City Council seat in the next election. Running for mayor without money is not smart. You have to be able to get your message out and money helps.

Get organized; raise some money; relocate if you have too;run for City Council and start there. Then move up the ladder!!

David has been a member of the Foundation Board at LA Mission College for five years. He is the President of the Foundation which raised and gave out 33,000 in scholarships to individuals in the North east San Fernando Valley last year.

Want to list just one of your accomplishments Mr. or Mrs. Critic?

Providing homes for abused boys for four years also comes to mind.

Want to list a second accomplishment to your credit?

401, Hernandez had no money, and Zuma had no money.

Being on the Board of a foundation is not leading any specific SUCCESSFUL legislations or legal efforts.

As for my qualifications, I didn't make a comparison between Hernandez and ME, idiot.

Why, even YOU could sit on a Board. Usually, it's less about qualifications than connections.

But since you brought up the subject, I sit on several Boards.

anonymous...4:21...or should I say David's wife.

David is a gadfly at best.

But someone has to tilt at windmills and throw rocks from the outside, otherwise guys like antonio wouldn't look so polished.

keep up the good work, you keep making our clowncil and mayor look like a better option.

4:21, $33,000 in scholarships?

Wow. That's a whole year for ONE person at USC.

My second grader could raise that much. You obviously know jack about money.

$33,000 made alot of difference to the young men and women in the north east valley, you pompous snob.

Still waiting to here what you have done, other than run your angry fingers on a key board.

Very easy to bitch and complain about the system and do nothing except bitch and complain.

David is a good man and it sounds like he was making the rounds of the NCs last night.

Yet David has never won a fight. I give him credit for keeping to try.

Measure B was not David. It was Ron and Jack.

David reminds me of the solution in search of a problem.

Guillermo Huesca had some dedicated supporters who worked very hard to help. They deserve to be angy and resentful. They were however not aware of what was taking place behind the scenes. David was not Mr.Huesca campaign manager. Not knowing that only demonstrates your limited knowledge of why Richard was unopposed in the race.

Too bad all around.

OMG we have Villaraigosa groupies posting on here against David. I will say it again at least David had the guts to do something and get up off his ass to speak out. To all you lazy, haters who do nothing but sit at your computers and post negative shit why don't YOU do something for a change. Its people like David, Zuma, Phil, Walter and the rest whether you agree with them or not at least they were active. All the immature, juvenile posters need to take a look in the mirror and ask why they are so insecure and hateful to people who at least tried to make a difference. I say to all who at least gave it a shot....THANK YOU GUYS.

AT LEAST DAVID RAN FOR MAYOR AND TRYED TO PUT HIS OPINIONS IN FRONT OF THE PEOPLE. HE DIDN'T COMPLAIN BUT ACTED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THIS CITY. RUNNING FOR MAYOR IS NOT EASY AND IT TAKES SKILL AVERAGE PEOPLE DON'T ALWAYS HAVE BUT THE FACT THAT THEY MADE THIS EFFORT IS APPRECIATED. WE NEED TO RID OURSELVES OF THESE INCUMBENTS FOR GOOD!! MILLIONS OF DEVELOPER MONEY WAS SPENT TO RE-ELECT TONY V. YET THE VOTER TURN OUT FOR HIM WAS SMALL. EACH VOTE COST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. ANYONE COULD BUY A ELECTION WITH THAT MONITARY HELP. WE NEED TO SEE THINGS FOR WHAT THEY ARE, IF WE ARE TO BEAT THIS SYSTEM.
