Does Janice Hahn Hate Voting?

KNBC has been doing some bang up reporting lately on local civic issues.  Let's continue to encourage them.  Their latest gem concerns our favorite illegal parking City Council Member Janice Hahn.  According to Channel 4, Ms. Hahn missed over 2000 votes in Council Chambers in 2008.  Hahn told KNBC "Many times, I've had to miss city council meetings, because I've had to go to a funeral."  That's a lot of dead people.  The story below.

That's funny because when she does show up she gives the impression of alawys having a lot to say, too much sometimes, on everything. Makes it seem like she's always thee because when she is, you want her to shut up. Is it a bad thing that she doesn't vote more often?

i were here constituent i would ask "how can she represent me if she is not at meeting to vote on issues that may affect me." I am not her constituent, luckily, but hopefully of they do ask themselves that and take some action.

It is remarkable watching Janice Hahn in city council.

She takes a single thought, and seems to repeat it 10 times during her speaking time.

She is one of the dimmest bulbs in city council, and is only there because she came out of the testicles of a long ago local official. She is the DNA stain on city council

If she is this bad I can only imagine how bad others are. Let's encourage NBC to find out about ALL their voting records.

Janice Hahn is as dumb as she is loud, self-promoting and useless. She keeps talking about all her work with gang prevention, but doesn't mention her real achievements there: how she got city money to pay gangbangers to keep others more violent than them in check, while they and even their mamas were alleged to have continued dealing.

Fox 11 investigations.

Her big "strategy" for "finding a new revenue stream" for gang programs was imposing another tax on homeowners only, a struggling middle class that would be harder hit as they're already watching their property values go down while taxes and fees go up. The little old lady and young couple hanging onto a house that's gone down in value would have paid for gang programs in her projects.

If she wants to do something useful let her find a way to make the gangbangers themselves pay: start by making them a chain gang to paint over graffiti and fix roads, and pick up trash. Keeping them busy working to clean up the mess they help create would be more worthwhile than throwing money at any more "programs" she controls.

Their voting records are available on the Internet. What they don't keep track of are their attendance records.

Janice Hahn is a sad example of how ""blood is thicker then water"" doesn't apply to her family. She sold her poor brother, Mayor Hahn out the day she started kissing Antonio's butt and behaving like an idiot. Amazing how these people can sell out their own family members in a split second.

3:02: In her defense, Janice may be an idiot but she didn't "start kissing Antonio's butt" under after her brother was defeated, and she had no choice, if she wanted to get along with the current administration otherwise how would she get any support for herself?

Well, at least Janice and Antonio have worked well together in distroying the Port of Los Angeles. Once the envy of all ports in North America it is now in total disarry. Going broke faster than GM, the politicians have forgotten that IT IS a PORT, not a research center, not home for non profits, not rec and parks, not a power company, not a high school, not, not ...

Hopefully the mayor will wake up and ...

I cut out Starbucks, movies, movie rentals, out of season fruits and veggies that I loved and frozen foods. I do not get milk and bread at 7-11 when I run out. I cut out all dry cleaning and hand wash everything. I go to Vons. Sounds like nothing, but it amounts to a lot. And I stopped thinking that Trader Joe's was less expensive than Vons. Now I check every price. Starbucks hurt the worse. I loved the lattes.

I'm sure it wasn't ALL about dead people, but if you think about it, her family's been involved in L.A. area politics more years than nearly all the other Clowncil members AND the mayor combined -- so she probably does know a boatload of dead, dying, and VERY old people that she, her brother, and her father served as their constituents.

And, how many hundreds of those votes were the consent calendar crap that NO ON on council or their staff ever reads, hears, or understands.

They could hire Billy the Elephant to pull the lever on those all day long, and just let two-thirds of the councilmembers go.

So today, this woman decides it's up to the taxpayers to fund Michael Jacksons memorial. I am sure those who are receiving I.O.U. 's in lieu of a paycheck might have something to say as well. I suggest that all the fans of M.J. kick in for this funding.
