Time Warner Cable Internet Spotty Tonight

My internet connection appears to be very spotty tonight.  I called Time Warner and their customer service line has a recording saying that if you're calling because you're having internet trouble you don't need to stay on the line because they're "working on it."

If you don't see a hot sheet tomorrow now you know why.

If Villaraigosa would have delivered on the promised wireless
Internet for LA there would not be a need to call Time Warner!

Mike:

How long will it take before some Higby detractor posts some lame joke about how you can't download porn tonight?

Maybe Walter Moore's connection is working. LOFL!!!

The downside of free WiFi is anyone can drive in front of your house and attach to your computer or break in. There are a number of public places which offer it, however as well as the cafes. Yes it would be nice to have it cheaper and more reliable though.

1127="Mike" Higby

(It is far too easy to recognize Higby writing to himself. He posts OFTEN on the blog to generate "conversation". Note how he never denies this each and every time the subject is brought up)

Oh, did you get any press on your debate "Mike"?

This doesn't make sense. Why aren't you having one of your minions write an update? This blog takes off far too many days.

It only took one hour for someone to blame it on Villaraigosa. What a shocker.

That recording is on all the time, 365 days per year.

But how did you post this update if your internet is out?

Whoa!! Holy syncronicity, Mayor Sam! (or is it a case of deja "view?") I literally just hung up w/ them after several inexplicable glitches in service. Okay. A couple hours ago I couldn't access TCM or the FOX Movie Channel, which are adjacent out there in the "ether." All I can see is "One Moment Please" strip at the bottom of the screen. So I give up on both flicks and decide to go to On Demand and see "Flight of the Concords" again for a late nite laugh. Ten minutes into it the cable box flips all by itself to some dumb mattress sale on QVC! This happens quite a bit, (as do sporadic "tiling" break-outs) and it does NO GOOD to futz around w/ the remote or the cable box re: either problem. So I wait two more minutes and suddenly I'm watching a horror movie on channel 511 IN SPANISH!!! Did not touch a thing. Immediately I reported the melt-down and they said they'd give me ONE DAY credit on my bill. BFD-- it just went up unjustifyably to $77.00 anyway, so what have I gained? "Thankyou for choosing Time/Warner Cable," said "Josie" on the other end. "Choosing??" I exclaimed. "Who's 'choosing'? You guys are running a monopoly out here in the foothills!" Anyway, thanks, for your post, Michael. Misery really DOES love company-- take it from a Time/Warner customer like me!

Get you butt up and go do what your candidate for Mayor, David Saltzburg does.

Just trot down to a Starbucks and log on their free WiFi and pander for coffee and food money.

A couple of more months of Obama's "plan", and we'll all be there.

When is he going ot wave his magic wand and save us all?

To make it clear - I said the internet was spotty. The technical term is "intermittent."

I was able to get on enough to post a message but the signal was getting lost too often to review material and write articles. So after two hours of that I gave up.

If you have an issue with that, go play on the freeway.

Poor Michael. Trying to use big words like intermittent to his readers. Michael, you know that only a fourth of them know big words.
