'Jesusstan?' I love it! Except that I have a profound respect for Jesus despite not being Christian, so I actually wouldn't want to promote the idea that the religious zealots have anything to do with him. Actually, having been the outcast in my childhood, I'm acutely aware of the way that society treats those that it deems different and/or unacceptable.
What I actually said in the comment to which you are referring is that if parents have unpopular political views, they should prepare their children for the potential fallout.
I didn't blame the child, I blamed the parents for not teaching their child that people can be cruel and that one needs to be prepared. That is what separates a martyr from a victim and it's incumbent upon the parents to not confuse the two.

SMS, you were and still are way off. I got your meaning the first time. And that the teacher was NOT remiss for not teaching the kids that democracy and civility means people can vote for whoever they want -- this is a matter of voting with the (bare) majority of the country, for pete's sake, NOT voting for Osama bin Laden or David Duke. You think that's wimpy, and therefore think that the Oxnard gay (transgender?) kid who was killed deserved it, and the fat kid who recently killed himself deserved his bullying, because his parents/ guardians should have told him to expect it "if he was going to be unpopular," and further, the heavy kid's parents are to blame for "martyring him." Their teachers and school administrators have no responsibility for teaching/ disciplining the bullies.
Luckily, the vast majority of decent people see where the problem and responsibility lie. There will always be those like you and that's why the rest of us must stay vigilant.
And the case YOU keep arguing involves a child in Kindergarten!
