Gallup Organization says early voting SPLIT EVENLY!

Read it and weep, suckas! Despite all of Obama's quadrupled spending, the early votes are split evenly. So says The Gallup Organization!

"Early Voters Split Evenly"
"October 24, 2008

Gallup Poll Daily Tracking conducted Oct 17-22 finds that among those who have already voted or say they plan to vote before Election Day, 31% support Barack Obama and 29% support John McCain."

Even if Friend of Bill (Ayers), wealth redistributing Obama wins, this just goes to show that he has his work cut out for him getting people to trust him. Maybe they are too busy clinging to their guns and religion to trust him. Some "great communicator!"

Western Pennsylvania will give the rest of us something to root for, even if it's just a mandate! Like that bonus number on the liberally conceived state lotteries that further impoverish the poor instead of improving education.

Spend your time responding to those of us who just understand the world better.

Haikula!!!!!

Did you think that none of use would follow that link to the Gallup site? You hurt your credibility by extracting only a portion of what Gallup is saying and then adding your own faulty analysis.

And how does this affect the projected electoral vote totals?

Here are the things you omitted from the Gallup site:

1. Overall, Obama has significant (Gallup's word) leads of 50-42 among regisitered voters; and 51-44 among likely voters.

2. Indepedents favor Obama by an 8 point margin.

3. "The early voting results reflect the same Obama lead evident in the overall sample."

4. By a wide margin, most of the early voting is taking place in the west, and the least in the east.

5. Those voting early tend to be older. Obama leads only 45-43 among those 65+. He leads 59-38 among the 18-29 year old group.

But for some reason you have substituted your analysis of these numbers in place of Gallup's.

Why?

Senator Howdy Doody, I mean Joe Lieberman, took his turn at sticking his foot in his mouth.

Asked by the Stamford (CT) Advocate if Palin is ready to be president from day one, Lieberman said, "thank God she's not going to have to be president from day one. McCain's going to be alive and well."

Later he scolded reporters for asking him questions about the topic, despite the fact that many Republicans have been endorsing Obama citing the Palin fear factor.

The Great Falls (MT) Tribune reports that Montana appears ready to go Democratic for first time in 16 years.

Obama, who trailed by 8 points in an Oct. 2 Rasmussen Reports poll, is now in a statistical deadheat with McCain, leading him 44-40% according to a Montana State U-Billings poll.

Yet, most observers figure that McCain will win the state's 3 electoral votes.

Haikula,

Don't know what it is about you that makes you think it's appealing to act so juvenile and insult posters all the time when they dare to disagree with you.

We get so much of that on rightwing talk radio already.

I don't think you took the time to read the Gallup survey. You saw one small part that interested you, and took it out of context.

So you either mistakenly distorted what Gallup said out of laziness, or you purposely did it to try and mislead those who aren't going to take the time to cut and paste the URL into their browser and read the entire Gallup findings.

Shame on you.

I think that somewhere there, hidden far away inside you, there is a decent person who could be a fine blogger, and a shaper of public opinion while still generating hits.

But you've come to believe that only way to generate hits is to distort information. You should run for public office.

Reporting from Washington -- Record numbers of voters across the nation are casting ballots before election day, including high proportions of Democrats and African Americans in some of the battleground states in what appears to be a promising sign for Barack Obama.

In the 32 states that allow people to vote before Nov. 4 without a special excuse, election officials report heavy turnout as the presidential campaign reaches its frenzied last days. That's not surprising in a campaign that has received round-the-clock attention. But it also reflects the intensive efforts of campaigns competing to bank votes before election day.

In North Carolina, which hasn't gone for a Democrat for president since Jimmy Carter in 1976, almost a million people have voted, and Democrats outnumber Republicans by 2 to 1.

"We're going to bust every record we've ever had," Gary Bartlett, executive director of the State Board of Elections, said of the state's early-voting participation

If what is going on here in Columbus Ohio is any indicator, Barack is in pretty goo shape.

Here is a new question: How will McCain walk this cat backwards? In other words, when McCain gets whooped, how much of a "patriotic American" will Barack Obama turn into? How quickly will McCain change his tune? My guess, within 3 minutes of his concession speech which should be right about midnight Eastern time.

As the Times points out today, Republicans have normally dominated early voting, but now it's the Democrats.

In a few key states, the Democratic advantage is:
New Mexico 62-28
North Carolina 56-27
Nevada 56-38
Colorado 39-38
Florida tie

The Times cited the Gallup poll, as Haikula did, but added that the results were disappointing to the Republicans who had hoped that many more Republicans would have voted.

Haikula, I don't know why you continue to embarass yourself like this. You've hitched yourself to a losing candidate, and regardless of how to try and distort the facts, it isn't going to help him.

You would be wise to figure out how you're going to recover from this embarassment.

PALIN GETS HER FIRST "POKLICY SPEECH" WRONG (Suprised?"

Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) gave her first policy speech urging the federal government to fully fund the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), “a law ensuring services to children with disabilities throughout the nation.” In the speech, Palin cited the need to do more for children with disabilities such as autism:

Palin claimed that the amount that Congress spends on earmarks “is more than the shortfall to fully fund IDEA.” She then ridiculed some of the projects — such as “fruit fly research” — saying they have little or no value:

"Where does a lot of that earmark money end up anyway? […] You’ve heard about some of these pet projects they really don’t make a whole lot of sense and sometimes these dollars go to projects that have little or nothing to do with the public good. Things like fruit fly research in Paris, France. I kid you not" said a sarcastic, yet desperately mis-informed Palin.

Palin is apparently unaware that scientific research with fruit flies has led to valuable discoveries that have boosted autism research, as a study at the University of North Carolina demonstrated last year:

Scientists at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine have shown that a protein called neurexin is required for..nerve cell connections to form and function correctly.

The discovery, made in Drosophila fruit flies may lead to advances in understanding autism spectrum disorders, as recently, human neurexins have been identified as a genetic risk factor for autism.

The study of fruit flies has also been used for other autism research and “revolutionize[d]” the study of birth defects.

Nice going Governor Dumbass. Perhaps we could start by getting you to name 5 States and build from there?

I thought I'd beat Haikula to the draw by linking to an Associated Press story about the latest prediction from the radical Christian right regarding what the world will look like if Obama is elected.

Terrorist strikes on 4 U.S. cities. Russia invading Eastern Europe. Israel hit by a nuclear bomb. Gay marriage in every state. The end of the Boy Scouts.

All this from the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family Action.

Using fear in the last part of a campaign has become somewhat of a tradition.

Phil Burgess, head of the Citizens for Community Values, said this it is now different than in 2004 when voters were excited about Bush and worked for him. "Now there is less excitement about McCain that fear of an Obama presidency."

Except of course with Haikula. We can expect her fear-mongering to intensify as it will with other rightwing and racist groups. But change that is truly meaningful never comes easy.

Here's the kind of story you won't hear on Fox News or from Haikula.

Nancy Takehara is a 58-year-old campaign volunteer for Obama who really was attacked by a McCain supporter last weekend.

She was campaigning door-to-door. According to reports, 71-year-old Ronald Goetsch starting screaming something about ACORN, raving, grabbed the back of her neck, and pounding on her head.

Goetsch admitted to the incident. Police are investigating.

later, Takehara got a call from Obama. Goetsch's wife said he'll accept what happens next.

The head of the Republican Party in Racine County condemned campaign violence.

10:06, Although I follow Focus On The Family, I feel they got one incorrect. I don't believe that, "Israel [will be] hit by a nuclear bomb," but rather Damascus, Syria will be hit. I reference this by end-time prophecy located in what we Christians call the Old Testament - there are prophecies in there which have still not come to pass (Damascus shall be destroyed in a single day).
