McCain on Life Support!

No, thankfully, he's still walking in this world, but the polls are searching for a priest to conduct the last rites on his campaign.
Check out the prognosis from FiveThirtyEight. Of course, the declared dead have been known to rise, so don't let this news be an excuse to not vote on November 4th, a mere 11 days away!

Or this could happen to you (oh no!):

What a hypocrite you are, JoeB!

Yesterday, you said that I made a tasteless comment about the Delgadillos, and you have the nerve to make a joke with a photo of a PRISONER OF WAR?

Please keep the photo up there. Let people see that, if you don't agree with someone's ideology, you are willing to mock the man's years of service to the country, which includes his brutal torture as a serviceman.

Wonderful!

Haikula,
I have no idea what you are talking about. What comment about the Delgadillos?
This photo is not of a prisoner of war, it's from a website that discusses life support systems!
Did you think this was a picture of McCain?
Oh my, you need to get a grip, really.

I agree, this is inappropriate, for any presidential candidate.

It's not a presidential candidate.
It's a picture of life support systems at work.

Nice switch-out, JoeB.

Regardless of whether you meant to do this, mocking a POW OR their injuries is inappropriate.

Moreover, your using last rights, and calling for a priest, which are holy symbols, for your intolerant views, is beyond inappropriate.

That you criticised (that's how it is spelled in true English, Mr. Grammar Police) me for a question about the other Joe's seeming health issue is the hypocracy.

You just proved my point about your intolerance.

Good night pickle breath.

Congratulations for mocking the war injured, whether in word OR photo.

Haikula,
I'm going to give it one last shot.
Where am I mocking a POW? I am talking about his campaign.
And it's last rites, not last rights.
Just thought you should know.
Also, can you explain the Delgadillo
thing you said I said?
Probably not.

Bratton records phone message supporting Obama

The endorsement, which is not yet being used, extols the Democratic presidential candidate's record on 'policing issues,' the LAPD chief says.

Haikula blogging at 1:36 A.M.?! Haikula blogging at 2:07 A.M.??!!
2:10 A.M.??!!!

Why are you staying up so late just to make a FOO out of yourself?

OMG now we're all LOL at you.

Have some pride. Get some rest. Stop with the minor, personal arguments... Unless you're way into self-humiliation. Which, in any case, you've already proven yourself quite adept at.

Interesting that Bratton has endorsed Obama, well not interesting because it's to be expected, but interesting in that some were accusing Bratton of shilling for McCain with his comments about Osama.

We'll all getting a little edgey and thin-skinned aren't we? Nevertheless, this is a great way to run up the hit count --- those with posting arguments just argue with each other back and forth.

Haikula loves the drama, she should change her pen-name to Miss Drama.

It's all about Haikula and the hit count, who is looking like a foo now? hahahaha

IBD/TIPP Tracking Poll:

McCain has cut into Obama's lead for a second day and is now just 1.1 points behind. The spread was 3.7 Wednesday and 6.0 Tuesday. The Republican is making headway with middle- and working- class voters, and has surged 10 points in two days among those earning between $30,000 and $75,000. He has also gone from an 11-point deļ¬cit to a 9-point lead among Catholics.

This bears repeating.

We don't elect presidents using a popular vote. Are you able to find a single poll, even Karl Rove's or McCain's own polls, that show him anywhere near the 270 electoral votes needed to win? Or even moving closer?

The poll you cited is but one of many. Because of the assumptions it makes regarding turnout, it is the one that shows McCain in the more favorable light - trailing Obama by 1%, a virtual tie. And it's been that way for quite a while.

Averaging out the results of the 15 most prominent polls, Obama leads by 7.8%, and by 9% in the Fox News poll.

These polls show Obama leading in all 7 toss up states my margins ranging between 1% and 7%.

NPR's polling shows Obama with an 11 point lead in the 15 states it has identified as battlegound states. Most importantly, he has a 12 point lead among Independents in those states.

This is the age of the Internet. This isn't North Korea where you can get away with handpicking the news stories you want us to read.

I think Joe B and Haikula need to settle their differences the honorable way, and through dueling postings.

They need to have a duel.

So, I ask each, which would be their weapon of choice?
