Maia Lazar Joins the Sister City
Continuing on our time honored tradition of being LA's political free speech zone in the blogosphere, the Sister City is proud to announce a new member of the team.Maia Lazar is a senior at the University of California at San Diego studying Russian and Soviet studies and history. Maia was an intern at LA CityBeat at the age of 14 and a frequent contributor to National Review while in high school. Maia has blogged on and off for five years at her blog Sky Watching My World and is the daughter of the late Cathy Seipp. She's traveled extensively within the Balkans, has a unique perspective on the region and has learned to speak some of the lingua franca.
I'm excited to have Maia join the blog. She will be writing about whatever strikes her fancy. And that's just fine with me.

Maia Lazar won't last very long on this blog composed of Blogging Burros. Maia's current blog has a more serious and "high-class" tone than this Joe Six-Pac blog.
Higby has veered off course and is more concerned with web-site hits than quality commnets. Haikula the antagonist and attention whore is more suited to this blog, Haikula has no inside knowledge of L.A. politics but loves the attention and junior high bickering which this blog is infamous for.
Higby's fear of Obama has shown him to be like the angry old Joe Six-Pack republicans who are convinced Obama is an arab terrorist and his followers are just like Hitler's minions.
Maia Lazar hold onto your hat it's going to be a rough ride on this blog of fools.

After you've kicked around in the world for a while, earned your own way and run a business or tried to rise through the ranks by virtue of hard work, been kicked in the butt and survived, I'll look forward to your enlightenment and experience, Maia.
