Hillary Avoids Taking on Palin

In a calculated move, former Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will avoid directly engaging with or talking about Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin, according to the Associated Press.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is avoiding a public face-off with Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, the new female star of the campaign, while still raising money and votes for the Democrat who wrested the presidential nomination from her.

At the same time the McCain campaign is beginning to see some of it's hoped for results in selecting Palin. While liberals are apoplectic over Palin, forgetting to engage her on the issues while they hack her email and mock her religious faith, the Republicans are picking up Clinton voters:

One prominent Clinton backer and fundraiser, Lynn Forester de Rothschild, announced her support for McCain on Wednesday. The former Democratic Party platform committee member has said Obama is arrogant and has a problem connecting with average people.

Indeed, an Associated Press-Yahoo News poll conducted Sept. 5-15 found that 26 percent of voters who supported Clinton are now backing McCain and Palin, who was brought on in part to woo women voters.

Does anyone remember 1980?

I would love to see a post from Higby in which he tells us Palin's plan for the "issues", and not the lipstick on a pig issues.

Let's here Palin's brillance on Home Mortage fallout, federal reserve bailout of large corporatons, unemployemnt, economy, ending war in Iraq, Russian renewed aggression.

It's the economy stupid!
And as for the Baroness supporting McSame, Who cares!

David Rees:
"I'm sure Obama will lose a lot of sleep over this. I know he was craving the endorsement. After all, we're talking about Baroness Lassie Lynn de von Forester d'el der McRothschild von de Beers VIII, the type of lady every American can relate to and wants to be friends with and definitely doesn't laugh at as soon as she turns her back (to check on her portfolio of private planets she owns).

Maybe now she and Cindy McCain can go shopping together and buy jewels at Cartier and be all like, "Ooh girl, that gem looks so good on your earlobe!" or whatever it is stupid rich old ladies do all day.

John McCain
News Alert! Some fancy lady named Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild has decided that Barack Obama is an "elitist" and therefore she's going to endorse John McCain. Is this the greatest news factoid o... "

What did Clinton know when he became President,or GW. He is still dumb. The Vice President is not running. The 26 years of knowing " where the bodies are" is the guy running. No one else counts.

How do you know that the people or person who hacked Palin's e-mail were liberals?

Sometimes hackers do it just because they can.

Also, you can wish all you want that Obama will distract himself with Palin, but that won't make it happen.

Her sole purpose is to get McCain elected. If he is elected, she will resign a couple of months later citing her need to be with her family, and that will allow McCain to find a real VP.

Sarah Palin is a hare/hair-brain.

BUT there's definitely a double standard going on with her looks: for his entire campaign, everyone's been saying how "photogenic" Obama looks, even though he's a little mouse with big ears, especially tiny next to that gigantic, gangly and ugly wife of his.

The Dems couldn't stand Hillary because she and her followers are "old" and not feminine enough, but a feminine, pretty woman (do any exist in the party?) wouldn't have passed muster with the old-time feministas who remember not shaving or styling your hair as the signs of really being "smart."

(This was a catfight between a gaggle of woman all over 60: Nancy PElosi, Hillary, Feinstein still clinging to the top of the "power ladder." Hierarchies of power and relative status are all part of old-school feminism.)

But now there's a genuinely attractive woman, with a decent- looking husband (not gorgeous, LOL) and everyone calls her Gidget and someone who's too cute to BE a Veep because she's photogentic enough to play one on tv.

They're in a lather because their "pretty boy" Obama is nothing without a good script, and not handsome either. (Will Smith or Denzel Washington he's NOT.)

Remember 1980?! I was 20 years old when I registered to vote so that I could vote against Reagan in 1980. I was right then and I'm right now. His administration spawned the force of evil that currently calls his redneck self, Prez. I would definitely like to throw Reagan's words back at all of you and ask if you are better off now than you were 8 years ago? (I know he said 4, but 8 applies here) War-torn, bad economy, oil companies and warmongers running the nation, the rest of the world hates us, half of the nation are losing their homes, all of our jobs are outsourced... I could go on and on.

Pray (like Sarah would) for Obama to win! Then put it in the hands of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Let's see who Jesus would vote for. heh heh

Palin excitement levels off as Democrats regain lead

Everyone is reporting the Honeymoon is over.

"Everyone is reporting the honeymoon is over."

But, as the MSM has began to discover, reporting doesn't make it so.

The honeymoon may be over, but the American people have fallen deeply in love with Sarah Palin, because she is one of them. So is John McCain.

Hillary isn't, Obama isn't, Biden at least tries to be, but isn't.

This election will be decided in the rust belt, and those folks just aren't buying in to Obama.

Call it racism, call it rejection of his effete arugula/brie and chablis mentality, or just good old common sense, the industrial midwest knows a snob when they see one.

The brilliance of John McCain to have selected Sarah Palin to touch their hearts earns the brass ring for him.

And for America.
