Way Past Your Bedtime Music

Back in the day, for a brief time, the Breeders ruled the roost. The band was formed as a side project by Kim Deal from the Pixies, and Tanya Donelly from Throwing Muses.

This video was directed by Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth), and an up and coming Spike Jonze.

I was the art director for this project, which mainly consisted of finding sleazy motels and making the flying nun hat you see Kim Deal wearing (I was up till 3 in the morning the night before making the stupid thing from scratch).

My assistant was the late, great Marc Rude.
