Open Thread: We Get Hate Mail

A reader writes:

Jesus, can you put something up on the sight? (sic)

It is Sunday at noon, Anvil was on Newsmakers, but Bedtime Music, a lousy idea for the sight (sic), is still up there.

I responded back via email to the reader but they didn't have the balls to use a real email address, thus I'm responding to the reader here.

We don't get paid to do this. A few of us have been sick and one member of the team is dealing with a life-threatening family emergency this weekend.

I am sure there will be new stuff up there soon. For Christ's sake it's a weekend anyway you should be out with your loved ones not at home reading blogs.

Blog away dums dums!

For all his spolling errors, Wet Spot has the most content to his postings, altho it's heavy with eastside stuff. But he's getting it into his head that Reyes "Density in Every Community" as he calls him (gotta be a catchier term) and Company have branched out and are invading and intent on ruining the Westsides, "Hillside federations" in Reyes' words, and the parts of the Valley that Alarcon and Cardenas don't already have their hands on. They're using AB1818 and Felipe Fuentes' AB212 on the state level, to try to do it.

Affordable housing scams, slums in the making, in every community with the help of these stealth, sneaky and community and prop value- destroying tactics. Like in Chicago under Rezko, who's been indicted finally for this same scam that made him the slumlord of 30 projects, everyone involved gets kickbacks and benefits from destroying communities. But our Eastside Mexican Machine of Padilla/ Alarcon/ Cardenas/ Nunez/ their boy Fuentes and Reyes, are even bolder -- using "racism" and the apathy and ignorance of local citizens to put their projects right into the best suburban parts of the city. Even in Chicago, Boston and other cities where machines have been around forever, they aren't doing anything this Third-World stupid, openly greedy and destructive.

Like Ron Kaye says in his blog, in some East Coast cities they've had crooks for politicians, but they give back to the people after getting some of it off the top, so the city is better for their efforts. These MeCHas are out to destroy our city while enriching themselves.

Speaking of Kaye's old paper: Top gun Bridget Johnson is sadly leaving the Daily News for a job in Denver.

Roderick also reprints Zell's latest missive to his staff, telling them that they've got too many highly paid staffers at the Times (yeah, right, after their bloodbaths that include Jim Newton leaving as Opinion Editor, and the resignation of the Foreign News Editor this week), and the paper will shrink to have content/ half ads, in equal proportion.

Besides old leftie blowhards like Tim Rutten staying on, while good reporters and content are leaving, they're doing the pro-illegal bleeding heart things by Anna Gorman to try to appeal to Latinos, but in vain -- they won't get past La Opinion. Today it's about how kids of illegals suffer in raids.

Hell, they're anchor babies who've been birthed here at OUR expense, either leaving the hospitals with the bills as charity cases, or somehow the parents illegally got on MediCal. They shouldn't be able to come here knowingly breaking the law, having these anchor babies at our expense as an excuse to continue to defy it: "But my kids are citizens." Like Europe, Japan and other countries, we have to stop letting illegals come here to have "citizens" to then anchor their whole families in defiance of the law. Those not here on a visa, have kids belonging to their home countries, period.

Zell isn't even pretending to run a nationally respected newspaper; too bad Geffen and company didn't buy it, Zell has gutted it so bad, there may be no hope. It's just a Recycler with desperate pandering.

Mayor:

Keep up the great work; I concur; blogs should be a hobby and recreational besides performing a community service. You and your sources do a superb job.

Mayor Sam I was waiting for some of the professional dum dums to get on hear and bitch. Some of them take this way too seriously.

Aside, Bridget Johnson going to Denver is no big loss. She's a good writer but here in the Valley we need more people covering Spring Street than Baghdad.

Thank you for not posting a "breaking news" post about tonight's Laker game or what almost happened.

This blog often takes information that is widely available in other media, including the web, and treats it like it's some sort of insider info, or breaking news, when it's neither.

Hopefully you're getting better at not doing that. AND STOP WITH THE RETARDED NIGHT MUSIC! WE HAVE ALL THE MUSIC AND VIDEOS WE NEED OFF OF THE WEB.

6:04 was waiting for "dum dums" to "come on hear," huh? And opines about Bridget Johnson being no great loss, when she's about the only one left at DN who's not provincial. Figures.

And I guess to punish the guy who hates the dumb YouTube videos, Joe B posted another one... Nothing like giving the public what they want. BUT based on the past of this blog, it could be worse, so we should be grateful.

Who writes Tom Petty's lines?

My favorite is:
