LAPD Officer shot in Boyle Heights

From the Los Angeles Times......

An LAPD narcotics detective was shot and wounded today while serving a search warrant in Boyle Heights, police said. The detective was wounded in the leg, officials said, and the injury does not appear to be life-threatening.

The shooting was reported just after 3 p.m. in the 2500 block Malabar Street near the intersection of Cesar Chavez and Evergreen avenues. The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately unclear, officials said.

As a side note, schools in the area are on lockdown and traffic on Soto Street between Cesar Chavez and Marengo is being detour.

Our thoughts are with the officer and family.

The drug cartels are running the gangs who are running the city!

When is everyone going to realize that the same thing that's happening om the border is starting to happen in the city.

This is the SAME cast of characters that are killing, mutilating and beheading the police and police chiefs on the borer!

Isn't it about time to start indicting the Mexican mafia in City Hall??? Steve Cooley be a hero if he started prosecuting the drug cartels and elected gangbangers in Maywood, Huntington Park, Lynwood, etc.

We have to chop off the head of the snake before we can restore law and order, and deport the illegals.

Suprise! Suprise! Huizar was there with Bratton and PD brass. Most of the time he wont go over to Boyle Heights unescorted. He always needs a big group of officers whenever he moves in that area.

Huizar only lives in boyle heights because he wants to run for Cedillo's sea when he gets term out. Huizar never wanted to be councilmember just as he never wanted to be board member

7:01 - Huizar didn't live in Eagle Rock. He lived in El Sereno, and then moved to Boyle Heights.

Huizar won't be "termed out" of CD 14 until 2019, and over that period of 11+ years he'll make about $500,000 - $600,000 MORE in salary as an L.A. City Councilmember than he would in Sacramento. Why would he do that - burn an half-million dollars just to join that obscure body known as the state legislature which requires jumping ship, due to term limits, even more often?

That's not ambition, that's just plain stupidity.

(You wouldn't happen to be a buddy of Alvin Parra's, would you? His story was that Huizar moved to BH to run for Fabian Nunez's seat - which never happened - and Alvin stuck with that story until the landslide vote buried him).
