Political Commentariat on the '08 Presidential Election
I wonder if Guitar Center has reported a spike in drumstick purchases? Carla Marinucci is reporting that some of California's top political operatives--Ace Smith, Dan Newman, Craig Schirmer--have headed out to North Carolina to "go mano a mano in a contest for 115 crucial delegates."
Over the last weekned, the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) concluded their their annual Pollie Awards and Conference in Santa Monica. Below are a couple of videos on "The Presidential Election" closing session with local members of the Political Commentariat (a term of endearment). I'll see about posting some Republican musings as well.
Enjoy ...

Here is a "nice" story just for Ed and Don Quackers. This is what happens in the mexican illegal alien sanctuary paradise of East Los Angeles.
The recent mechista marchers in East Los Angeles should be proud of what has become of East Los Angeles in the last 40 years!!! Si Se Puede !!!

Help sought to find killer of man set ablaze
Sheriff's detectives will ask for the public's help today in finding the killer or killers of a man set ablaze with gasoline on Oct. 7, 2007, in East Los Angeles.
As many as 20 people are believed to have witnessed the attack on Marcial Sanchez, 52, who was set on fire about 6 p.m. that Sunday in the 3500 block of Cesar Chavez Avenue, a few blocks east of Evergreen Cemetery, according to sheriff's deputies.
Detectives, however, were unable to find anyone who would admit seeing the attack.
Today, they plan to make an appeal to the public in attempt to generate new leads in the case.

Definitely among the first of many Ciudad Juarez style cartel killings we can expect to see increase in Antonio Villaraigosa's Sanctuary City of Los Angeles. Good news is, the Supreme Court is ready to reaffirm the right of citizens to bear arms in self defense.

In Los Angeles every cholo already has lots of arms to bear, including AK-47s like that used to kill the guy walking his grand-daughter in front of an elementary school in Glassel Park.
I propose we have state sponsored mexican gang shoot outs. Each weekend we bus different rival gangs out to the desert and hand them all AK-47s and let then see who is really, mas macho.
This would keep the mexican gang members entertained and busy on the weekends. And the Cholos wouldn't have to do as many drive-by in rival gang’s barrios.

I guess the mexican gangs have their own "Burning Man" festival in East Los Angeles. Does this shit crazy shit happen in Tijauna?

LONG BEACH - An 11-year-old boy was killed and a 20-year-old man was wounded in a possible gang-related shooting late Sunday, authorities said.
The victims were standing in front of a residence on the 2000 block of East 15th Street at about 10 p.m. when they were approached by two male suspects on foot, said Sgt. Dina Zapalski of the Long Beach Police Department.

We haven't uncovered any mass graves yet but I'm sure they are coming soon. . . anyone care to wager on the neighborhood? I'm going with either Boyle Heights or Lincoln Heights.

Mass grave unearthed in midst of Mexico's drug war
The remains of 33 people are found in a shallow grave on an abandoned property in the border town of Ciudad Juarez.
By Marla Dickerson and Richard Marosi, Los Angeles Times Staff Writers
March 15, 2008
MEXICO CITY -- Authorities in Ciudad Juarez said Friday that they had uncovered the remains of 33 people buried in the yard of an abandoned property, a mass grave believed to be linked to the city's violent drug trade.
The grisly discovery surfaced as part of a recent government crackdown on narcotics traffickers in this city across the border from El Paso that has been gripped by a spasm of drug-related killing unseen in years. Authorities said the Juarez drug cartel might be involved in the deaths.

I hereby propose the new official city motto:
"As goes Ciudad Juarez, so goes Los Angeles"
Villar! Rosendull! Garshady! Stand up and exclaim our new city motto with pride!

I will vote foy Boyle Heights for 30 plus dead. That trash company in CD14 has a good reason for being there; its an inexpensive embalming and burying company. No one ever thinks to look there.

Ed, sorry to take you away from the vitriol of the Mexican posts but since your banner says "08 Presidential Election" I would just like to interject an opinion and also ask yours.
Was the Obama speech today initially billed as concerning Rev Wright, maybe the most compelling and from the gut, beautiful and soulful soliloquy's on the American experience that you've ever heard?
Sorry if it seems I'm putting words in your mouth but that's the way I felt, absolutely stunned!
I think it may go down as one of the most honest and direct address's to the American people since FDR and MLK.
I was totally knocked out by the humbleness and trust Obama seemed to ask the American people to accept, it had leadership and forthrightness written all over it.
none of the typical partisan "divide and conquer" shit we are usually fed.
Just my two cents.

These stories about this type extreme gang violence should be on the front page of the Los Angeles Times, and right next to the story, should be a picture of Villaraigosa, Huizar, Reyes, Cardenas and Alarcon and any other politico pandering to all the illegal aliens.
The idiots don't want LAPD to ask immigration status of gang members and any other criminals. Then these very same idiots want to investigate the LAPD when the cops shoot any armed gang member.
Los Angeles times needs to get off it's ass and start reporting about all these useless politicians.
I remember that a baby was killed by mexican gang members collecting "street taxes" from illegal street vendors in the Westlake area. Then Reyes saying he was going to stop allowing all the illegal vendors. Well Reyes you useless dumb ass, the illegal street vendors are still there and the 18th steeet gang is back to collecting steeet taxes. And drugs are still being sold around McArthur Park, Reyes are you still surprised?
Villaragosa is the main useless dumb-ass when it comes to dealing with gangs. The Mayor says he wants to hire more cops and then wants to investigate cops and keep them from doing their jobs of arresting low-life gang bangers.

What a funny comment from the old cholo racist xenphobe who calls blacks, mayates and changos (monkeys)
The Real Don Q racist says
"I know there is blame to go around but along with the shooting death of 3 year old Kaitlyn Avila and these killings (including an innocent 10 year old boy while he was on the ground), what does this tell you about culero Mayates.
And look at the ages of these chanates. I hope the Carnals get a shot at these changos when they hit the joint."

How many times will we see the words menudo, xenophobe and vitriol used on this blog?

The words words menudo, xenophobe and vitriol are automatically set to bold, to recognize a certain menudo eating xenophobe who calls black mayates, but the hypocrite labels others else vile vitriolistic racists.

What do the illegal alien apologists and sanctuary city supporters of Los Angeles have to say? Los Angeles is now the "Murder Capital" and "Gang Capital" of the U.S.
Can this have anything to do with the fact that Los Angeles has the largest population of illegal aliens? Or is just a conicidence? How many murders are being commited latino street gangs?
http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-homicide19mar19,0,3057227.story
By Monday, 93 people had been killed in Los Angeles this year, compared with 69 during the same period last year -- a nearly 35% increase. As the weeks pass, the bloodshed in 2008 grows worse than the previous year. Two weeks ago, for example, the increase in the homicide rate over last year stood at 27%. The rise is also outpacing those in New York City and Chicago -- cities that have seen significant, but less dramatic, increases this year, according to Det. Jeff Godown, who oversees the LAPD's extensive effort to analyze crime statistics.

Yes, it was a superb speech by Obama--both tactically and how it touched the responsive chord. I also thought dialing down the soaring rhetoric worked.
For all my immigration posters, I will try to put up more immigration threads so you can stay on topic. FYI - There's an interesting editorial in the NY Times today on immmigration and the Emilio Gonzalez tenure.

There are more "interesting" stories in our own local newspapers about what is happening in Los Angeles. But let's not talk about the LAUSD and mexican street gangs here in L.A.
Ed HeadUpAss, still refuses to see the obvious, I guess ignorance is bliss.
Anonymous said:
Ed HeadInCulo and Don Culo a matching set of idiots, who refuse to acknowledge these stories. Ed why not read editorials about what is happening in Los Angeles?
In about one of every three cases, the killer is thought to be Latino -- up from 14% over all of 2007
