$100 million to showcase looted art
Thanks to the Daily News for printing the latest on the "looting" of the Southwest Museum.
For those who find the wording above "a bit opinionated", one needs to be expressive when the likes of Jackie Autry, Jon Grey, Steve Sugerman, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Councilman Jose Huizar, Councilman Tom LaBonge and toadie Louie Alvarado all are working against the will of the community to force this thief of CD 14 history down our collective throats.
Now all that is needed to complete the "GREAT CD 14 ART THIEF" is the approval of the Rec. and Parks Commission, City Council and the signature of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
The proposal by the Autry will run counter to the wishes of numerous community group and green organizations. But in this city, public opinion is trumped by "monetary considerations".
One has to wonder if the "Singing Cowboy" was still alive, would this classless act of deceit be taking place. One thinks not.

Jackie Autry is the one in the back hat, followed by the "Southwest Society", Villarigosa and Huizar's proproganda group who are working for the Democratic Club and Villariaza to ensure that all the newly people appointed or elected in Los Angeles, or Sacramento, will follow Villariagosa, and Clinton. Are there no Republicans in southern California? Or a better question, is there no one, Democratic or Republican who can read of "The Rape of the Southwest Musuem" and not act on it.

It would be nice if the original poster would explain what the heck this is about before launching into a tirade.
Not all of our suns rise and fall based on what happens in CD14.

There are other council districts?
That matter?
Pshaw!
CD14, former home base of our frisky mayor and ground zero for the most democratically entertaining council races in recent L.A. history IS the new Los Angeles.
Everything else (especially everything west of Fairfax) is just East Coast castoffs and people passing through.
