Mayor Sam's Sister City - Home of Los Angeles Politics

This is the city: Los Angeles, California. I work here. I'm an ex-mayor. Los Angeles is a magnet for people from all over the world. Some of them run for public office. Inevitably some of them stray from the golden rule and rule for those that have the gold. That's when I go to work. My name is Yorty. I'm a dead pol.

With the recent announcement that City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo has made a backroom deal with Home Depot to place a controversial store in Sunland-Tujunga, we've been covering it on the blog all weekend long.

Of course, we've covered the story for a few years now. But it's up to you to be informed and take action, especially when it appears now that your elected officials do not have your interest at heart.

It is interesting though, that the City Attorney's Office assured S/T at both City Council meetings last summer that they could defend any action against the city. The $10M lawsuit shouldn't be a concern. Unless the City Attorney has been lying from day one to make things look good while the City got everything else in place. Nah.
