The "four year community college" on Jefferson and Fig. You know the one where the band plays two songs, has a "glue white horse" and "paid for" athletes??, will not be moving anywhere, anytime soon.
.....and in the spirit of love, the City of Santa Clarita will be cracking down on illegal flower merchants today. Only if this could happen in CD 14.

Sugerman Communications Group
This public relations firm is headed by Steve Sugerman, a former communications aide to Mayor Richard Riordan. Mr. Sugarman therefore once worked with Robin Kramer, Riordan’s former Chief of Staff. Ms. Kramer is now the Chief Staff to Mayor Villaraigosa. Public information suggests Mr. Sugerman was put on the Autry payroll as a consultant in early 2005. Sugerman’s most notorious claim to fame was he pled guilty to three counts of federal wire fraud as part of the Fleishman-Hillard overbilling scandal at the Water and Power Department. By pleading guilty to these felonies, Sugerman avoided jail after testifying against his supervisors who were sentenced to jail upon their conviction. Sugerman confessed to knowingly submitting falsified invoices to DWP. His employer later repaid $ 6 million to the City of Los Angeles, a portion of which Sugerman was responsible for. For his cooperation, Sugerman was sentenced last year to three years probation.
So, a confessed liar and convicted felon was hired by Autry as its public relations and City hall lobbyist. CEO John Gray likely asked Mr. Sugerman to use his contacts at City Hall, the Los Angeles Times and Daily News, and his “talents” to spin the deferred maintenance problems of the Southwest Museum as making the building unusable.
If only we could find one credible reporter in LA who had the guts to write about ALL the lobbyist Antonio has in city hall. But we're stuck with nothing but kiss ass jerks who are to afraid. Thanks Red Spot for pointing out the obvious that Laura Chick N Shit did not want to AUDIT the gang programs cause then the truth would come out where all the money went to all the political campaigns. Someone with balls should do some investigating.
That's pretty funny if a guy (Sugerman) who, through his own corruption inadvertantly helped Tony V. topple Jim Hahn (using hyperbolic cries of "graft, corruption, incompetence") will now be shooting the same kind of falsehoods directly into the Villaraigosa spin control veins to hide AV's gross mismanagement of the SW Museum situation when he couldn't be bothered -- he was too busy running for mayor.
The sick chickens have come home to infect the "new" City Hall administration with more virulent strains of political salmonella and botulism.
GOOD THING MAYOR SAM ENDORSED VILLARAIGOSA in 2005, to bring a less corrupt leader to City Hall.

If only we could find one Councilman in LA who had the guts to refuse to speak to ALL the lobbyist Antonio has in city hall.

Is our Mayor really ever in LA. He is always off campaigning or on a photo shoot. Who is really running LA? For sure it's not AV.
