Arrest made in gang-related killing in Granada Hills

GRANADA HILLS - A 20-year-old man was arrested in connection with a gang-related shooting that left a 31-year-old man dead and wounded another man this summer, police said.
Santos Anthony Topete, unemployed from Sylmar, was arrested Tuesday at his home in connection with the July 1 killing of Eric Perez, a suspected member of the San Fer gang, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The shooting occurred at 12:30 a.m. as two men were leaving a party in the 16000 block of Los Alimos Street in Granada Hills, police said. The suspect fired multiple rounds striking each victim numerous times. Both victims were transported to a local hospital in separate, private vehicles.
Perez, of Arleta, died shortly after his arrival at the hospital. The second victim, an unidentified 25-year-old resident of Sylmar, was treated for his injuries and later released. Mission gang unit officers said Perez was possibly a member of the San Fer gang.
Topete was in jail awaiting a court hearing. Charges were being filed today, police said. No other details were immediately available.

Is that person who was talking about silver yesterday here? You are right as hell that silver is (like) 167% below it's record high, compared to gold and platinum that are at record highs today. I ran the future of silver into my bat-computer, and it says silver will be going up this year, quite a bit...BUT, expect silver to drop to $15.36, before it goes any higher than it is today.

I hate to break it to you. gas bag, but shorting stocks on a blog is supposed to be accompanied by SEC scrutiny. 'Tony' didn't teach you that before the Feds threw his ass in the slammer? What happened for you on Atomic Bob and I-HUB? No one answers you there anymore?
Forgive me for being a bit anal rententive, but considering your verbose and high-minded post regarding the nature of my mental state, I can't help but dismiss you due to your lack of understanding of the notion of intelligance or civility.

I knew Johnny Grant very well; he was such a great representative of Hollywood. I worked in the movie industry for many years and Johnny Grant was admired by all.
I will share a great story the first time I met Johnny Grant. I was attending a movie premier back in 1965, and Johnny sat directly behind me. It was a horror movie and during a very scary part of the movie Johnny screamed and jumped up and spilled his red strawberry soda on my white shirt. The red soda looked like blood on my nice white shirt. Johnny was telling everybody that he screamed during the movie because he saw my red shirt and thought it was blood. The whole night Johnny would scream every time he saw me at the party. A couple of days later I received a nicely wrapped box at work. Well, Johnny had sent me a new white shirt, I still have that shirt. I then sent a thank you note to Johnny, the note was written by my wife. Johnny was so impressed with the note he invited me and my wife out to dinner. Of course I wore a red shirt to dinner. Well me and Johnny had a great laugh and have been friends ever since. Our wives would go shopping together and I and Johnny would watch old movies at his lovely Hollywood Hills house.
Johnny baptized my first son and of course I named him Johnny Grant. I met many other Hollywood celebrities through out our long friendship. Johnny and I were the best of friends and he was like a brother to me. When I was sick in the hospital Johnny was ready to donate a kidney, but another kidney became available. When my house caught fire, Johnny was the first one to offer his house. Johnny and I would often walk along Hollywood boulevard and he would recount his meeting with many of the old Hollywood starts.
Johnny would often come to my house on Sunday mornings to enjoy a bowl of my wife's great menudo. I will miss sharing a bowl of menudo with Johnny and sharing stories. I have tears in my eyes, as I write this little story about my dear departed friend - Johnny Grant.
