A Little New Year's Greeting From Zuma Dogg (Mega-Master Shady Report)

Thanks to everyone who checked into this blog and Mayor Sam's Sister City Blog (the real political heat) this past year.

Special thanks to everyone who I met in person at various meetings, spoke with on the phone and corresponded with via email. There isn't a single person that I met this year that didn't provide me with something that went into my blogging and comments. (All the answers are within the community, and the corrupt politicians are not fooling these people. See Dirt Burnell.)

And a very special thanks to the (not so) short list of people who spent endless hours tutoring Zuma Dogg with endless legalese -- getting me to the point where I could spit it back in a two minute public comment rant. (And I know it can be a torturous process getting me to that point. Alright, I know it is a torturous process.)

And a special, special thanks to everyone who took my call (who would have been in big trouble if their bosses knew) -- and all the people who contacted me, outright, against their boss' interests.)

Thanks to all the talk show hosts, locally and nationally that let me get my two cents in, many times for five minutes at a time, or more. (And thanks to Kevin James of KRLA AM-870 for playing ZD's Holiday Song, "Proposition S Going Down". (Perhaps an encore this week when Kevin discusses Prop. S. 9p-11p on 870 AM.)

BIGGEST ZD STORY OF 2007 ended up having nothing to do with City Hall, at all. For all my hundreds of hours blasting City Hall shadiness and inefficiency, the one "anomoly" of a story ended up being not only the biggest story of the year, but the biggest financial story in the past decade according to the news wires: I tried to warn everyone on May 5, 2007.

Here's the Google Search of frantic posting across multiple blogs on that day -- warning of sub prime crisis triggering recession fears .

It all started to come true three months later, and we are still talking about it more than anything else from a financial standpoint as I type this. (So not only did I go out on a limb on this story out of my usual range, I went out BIG, and I think I made the right decision. So look for a little more of this in '08. A lot more, actually. I have excellent advisers.)

PREZ CAMPAIGN: And oh my goodness is Michelle Obama a fantastic public speaker. If there is anyone better, I would like to see it. WOW, did she just give Barack a huge boost. (Even though Clinton is the best at organizing people to show up at the polls. Now, that may not be enough.) And on the other side, I have never seen anyone better at answering a question and speaking directly to the people than Mike Huckabee. (Don't be fooled by the plain look, that guy is the Bruce Lee of spin defense.) The guy is just a natural. But, Barack...you better watch that guy Eric Garcetti who is campaigning for you. Gotta be careful if the word "ethics" means anything to you. (It doesn't to him.) And if you hear him use the word, "discretion"... RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!!

FIRST TWO ISSUES OF 2008: LAUSD/Charter Reform (including Clinton Foundation billionaire cronies) and Proposition S (and Zuma's new "No on Prop S" song to the tune of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" called, "Please Stop Deceiving.")

Zuma Dogg - "Prop S Punk" (Original "Sex Pistols-style" song about Proposition S)

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU START TELLING PEOPLE TO VOTE NO ON PROP S. Calling it "S for Shady" helps people remember. And email this thread to people. The mayor has tons of money that he raised through his position as mayor...it will take a grassroots effort to prevent this bamboozle from being perpetuated.

Meanwhile, here's something to keep you busy on New Year's Day:

"Mega-Master Shady Report" (Quarterly Newsletter of all ZD stories/Political Shadiness that robs the community, county and state.) If I blogged or commented about it in '07, you can find it here: Zuma's Mega-Master Shady Report

And if you don't believe me about the things I say, listen to Bruce. He's been warning us since '78.

The country faces a vicious cycle: As house prices fall, homeowners lose equity in their homes, which makes it more difficult or impossible for them to sell or refinance. Many are not able to refinance their adjustable-rate loans when the starter interest rates expire and reset to reflect higher market rates, and so they are faced with sharply higher mortgage payments they cannot afford to pay.

The dilemma has sent defaults and foreclosures to historic levels — with potentially millions more in train in the next two years as more than $1 trillion in mortgages reset nationwide. As homes are sold under pressure, prices drop further and cast a pall over entire neighborhoods, driving down the value of homes of even creditworthy Americans and undermining their biggest source of wealth and security.

Happy New Year Zuma.

Thank you for coming to us and for speaking/singing/trouble-making for us.

You've come a long way and you have a solid fan base here, believe it or not.

A big Happy New Year to Mayor Sam and Mailander too! Thanks for what you do.

The new year has hardly gotten started and already we have the first of a year-long series of Zuma Dogg self-promotional postings. Here's a clue: if you're really good at what you do, you don't need to tell people about it.

Actually, you do. It's the nature of this self promoting business we're immersed in. Sorry Charlie.

The posts like 12:47 are the ones that should be removed. Daily. We shouldn't have a year full of this.

Everyone does year end recaps on the big stories. My sub prime thread wasn't a big deal at the time, and because it was so outside my usual range of material, I thought it was of particular interest (to me, at least). And the REAL credit goes to the great community leader, Jose Aguilar of CD 14, who for some reason, felt very compelled to bring this issue to my attention. I do have an "under dogg" complex and feel I have to point the sub prime prediction out, so maybe people will take note next time. It's not like it benefits me, one way or the other if people listen, or not. I just like the challenge of trying to call stuff early, or be on the best side of an issue. And I use blogs to vent all of the stuff in my mind. And there are a few extra millionaires in the world, and a few people who got promoted (instead of fired) as a result of it. Take it, or leave it.

It's evident you are unraveling because you can't get some posts deleted although some of your endless tripe about Zuma Dogg is (thankfully) being deleted.

It's also evident you don't understand the difference between slander and criticism.

But why must you slur Mayor Sam with these foolish names, like now you are someone's mama? Yesterday, your anger drove you to post in the name of one blogger's private parts.

Your rants are disgusting and they spoil it for the rest of us. If you hate this blog so much, if you think every one posting is a racist, why don't you disappear like a normal person would leave?

"...deport all mexicans back to tijuana, especially the midget mechista mayor!! Savvy ??"

Not overly surprising you say that, but not a likely happenstance. The big item is that in the next few weeks U.S. Special Forces are expected to vastly expand their presence in Pakistan, as part of an effort to train and support indigenous counter-insurgency forces and clandestine counterterrorism units.

PS. Good Mayor Sam, Drinking With Tony sends his best and a big thank you.

Oh, so true. Speaking of the cholo mayor, wonder what he had to do to get the wife on the "SS Los Angeles" with him??? I thought the "love affair" with the "news" skank was still hot and heavy!

By the way, great theme for the L.A. float, "SS Los Angeles" - immediately brought to mind the SS Titanic. (The whole parade was really awful)

Back at you!

I know our readers have no idea why we do what we do. I know that because we have no idea why we do what we do.

Even so, we do it, and it's the readers we get that make it all worthwhile.

Thanks so much for reading. This blog doesn't get linked much by other blogs---they know we grab readers, even the ones who hate some or all of us, in a way that doesn't let them go.

So word of mouth is the only way we get out there. If you like what you read here, tell someone sometime.

My brother is in the Navy stationed in San Diego. We know about her from her realriders scamming days. We have watched and frankly were stunned at how she attained the credibility and power in Los Angeles including on your Mayor Sam Blog. But now we're reading your blog through the holidays and you've allowed some of the truth to leak out. Thanks for releasing the information about her that you have, scant as it is. She's treacherous as you are seeing and people need to know. Happy New Years.

As a homeowner I saw this coming at least two years ago. Its not rocket science, when too many people take out adjustable loans, many will default and the real estate market will suffer. Whats the big prediction here??

Oh, you are so smart. You knew about this two years ago. Saying, "you saw this coming two years ago" is a useless skill and a useless comment.

I knew the Patriots were going to go 16-0. I knew Gold would be at a record high last week. I knew the Iowa caucuses would be close. I just wait until after the fact to weigh-in. I am a hero.

10:43 pm,

I think it is great that many homeowners saw the sub prime coming two years ago.

Point is, maybe you are not a blogger who tries to call things to people attention ahead of time so you can take action. I am. If I made the prediction two years earlier, it wouldn't have meant squat. I can tell you gas will hit $4.00. It's about the WHEN.

Secondly, if it was so obvious, where were all the stories about it in the newspapers?

Maybe all the smart people who see everything coming should start trying to notify people via the blogs and radio, too. I know...it's easy isn't it.

(AV HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH CRIME STATS BUT WILL TAKE CREDIT)

As for New Year's resolutions, Villaraigosa -- whose 2007 has been marked by personal tumult -- didn't say. But he was toting a copy of "The Voice of Knowledge: A Practical Guide to Inner Peace."
(CAN SOMEONE PLEASE READ THE BOOK TO HIM CAUSE WORD IS ANTONIO DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO READ)

You got it, Zuma Dogg, aka Dave Elliott, third grade dropout and loser of year as well.

Now, go ahead and delete, you insecure pussy. But if you do, know that this will be osted on every blog in Los Angeles...

Besides saying, "ZD is a 3rd grade drop out", which I don't think is actually possible, there is no need to delete your comment. What am I missing?

You have merely stated your opinion/vote for a blog award category. (Even though the voting is over, so you're not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed.)

But again, your problem seems to be that you are not able to distinguish valid criticism from delusions and lies. (No wonder you are always frustrated. Maybe this is all just a little too much for you, given your emotional condition. Try the Howard Stern blog or PBS kids.)
