Lloyd Levine Bests Cameron Smyth at Nose Picking
Looks like our Boy Assemblymen Republican Cameron Smyth of Santa Clarita and Democrat Lloyd Levine of Van Nuys can find nothing better to do during important policy debates on the Assembly Floor than pick their noses and send text messages. Still, looks like Lloyd's technique is more developed than Cammy's.

Dollar Falls Versus Euro for Sixth Day as New Home Sales Drop: The dollar dropped against the euro for a sixth day, the longest decline since October, after a U.S. government report showed sales of new homes fell to a 12-year low last month.
Defaults moving beyond sub-prime: Thought the mortgage meltdown was just a sub-prime affair? Think again. There's another time bomb waiting to explode, experts say: risky loans made to people with good credit.
Blame abounds for housing bust: This year's housing bust is shaping up to be one of historic proportions. Sales and construction have sunk to levels not seen since the 1990 savings and loan crisis, while foreclosures and price drops are the largest since the Great Depression — and expected to get worse next year.
Housing prices are headed way down: The cold, hard truth is that foreclosures are serving only to hasten the painful process of shifting housing prices back to a level the market can sustain. Prices must and will fall. Everywhere. Probably 25% to 30% from their peak.

8:00 pm,
Good post. What else you got to say?
Here's something I was kicking around regarding the banking industry.
If these shady subprime loans were the extra dollars they were pouring into the bottom line...
forget about working the losses out of the system...
how are they gonna make up for all that shady money that was going to the bottom line? (Not only losses, y'all...less profits!)
HOUSE OF CARDS, Y'ALL!
And remember, I am the one who called the subprime bubble burst and pending crisis on May 5, 2007 (three months before the first news wave hit headlines), so I bring tremendous weight and credibility to the discussion -- even though I use the word, "y'all.")

Is Levine really nose picking or merely dreaming about utopia - a world without light bulbs?

Insanely disgusting! It baffles my mind that people actually dig in like that in public. Gross!

Cam at least has enough sense to realize he's in the shot and go to the back of chambers to pick it.
Your guy should put the blackberry down and pay attention when he's in the camera angle.
You'd think that after three terms in the Assembly his staff would at least put a list on his desk. "Don't pick your nose when the following people are speaking:"

Although picking your nose is protected expression, I would like to motion for a symbolic ban of picking your nose while on camera during public meetings.

Sucios! Sin verguenza!
It could have only been more disgusting if they had picked and eaten it.
Like Spaulding Smails in "Caddyshack".
ewwwwwww!

I did not see Lloyd Levine "picking" his nose, he only restd his finger on the side of his nose.

God Stuart, you would do anything to get back at Lloyd. Now you are pouring threw the tapes of meetings until you find something. Get over it.
I bet those Bachelor producers would be glad they didn't choose him if they saw that.

This video has already been viewed 1500 times (1558 to be exact.)
Discounting for the 500 times that Levine and his staff have watched it, that's still more than a thousand Angelinos who have taken a break from their New Year's celebrations to watch an Assemblyman pick his nose.
Very Impressed!!

This could be the first salvo in one of the grossest Assembly campaigns ever.
Somehow, I don't think Fran Pavley's people put this out and it doesn't seem like something Blumenfield would put out either given that Larry Levine is reportedly some kind of campaign advisor. Laurette Healey? Nah.
But, fair is fair, I guess.
I'm looking forward to the response video, "Stuart Waldman Farts Uncontrollably During A Speech To The Young Dems" on YouTube...

.I think he was looking for Judie Mancuso... Remember Lloyd.."You can pick your nose and you can pick your friends.. but you can't pick your friends nose" unless you need a favor.
NO ON AB 1634

Rescue groups and Gov't orgs are on record as in favor of AB 1634.
Dog breeders aren't.
Anyone wanna venture a guess as to 9:43's status?

No.

You would be WRONG 10:22.. got a rescue in my back yard right now..dog and car breeders aren't the only people who want to retain their civil rights.. and property rights.. looks like Lloyd found Judie after all and flicked her over here

Rescue person -
Go make your own blog. We don't care. We don't care. We don't care. We don't care.
When will you all learn it?
Anonymous said:
as soon as Lloyd learns not to "pick" stupid bills.. think that will be anytime soon?..about as soon as he learns to buy a hankie..or at least a tissue.. rescue me... from politicans like Lloyd
Anonymous said:
What Lloyd was actually typing on his blackberry:
"Yes. Must do another pet bill. LOL!!! What are all these people talking about?
You think my dad is going to give me a senate seat this Christmas? OMG. That would be cooooooll!
Check in with Huffman's office to see what environmental bill I can steal this year. LMAO!!!"

If AB 1634 fails, the next pet bill should be to tax breeders for the cost of killing all the dogs and cats that end up in the shelters because of their greed. That way they can have their frigging "property rights" and be held accountable too.
Oh, by the way, most breeders (including the ones who don't have hobbyist exemptions) don't pay taxes, either to get business licenses or on their breeding-related income. So don't let them give you this crap about their unfettered freedoms when they think they should be getting a free ride from the rest of us on this activity.
This is just another scam that needs to be closed down. Yes on AB 1634.

Thanks for the heads up, 9:43.
Nanny State or not, this city has a horrific animal control problem and AB 1634 appears to be the most reasonable solution for it.
Will put it on my watch list.

You do that Jack..and yes I agree LA does have a "horrific " ( the buzz word for animal rights folks these days)animal control problem.. it is called ED BOKS.. so if you can get AB 1634 to neuter him and his six figure salary I will be all for it.
