Monday thoughts from a "Collective SPACE"

Happy lunch hour to all in the "Big Collective" that is Los Angeles.
We hope that all you in public and private sector had a restful weekend. Some like "Third Floor Employee", Rafael Gonzalez. May have been mulling over some "collective" flash backs to past endeavors, But I digress.
One past LA World Airports Executive Director, Lydia Kennard. May be mulling over how her past work at the Airport Commission, is affecting the bottom line of her employer.
Citizens in the San Fernando Valley are mulling over their options pertaining to a certain hospital expansion.
Some mull over fire recovery at Griffith Park. Plus you don't have to mull over taking the shuttle to the Observatory anymore. BTW, who owns "Transit Systems" ??
Rick Orlov and Steve Hymon have their regular Monday missives, mulling over all things L.A. politics.
Take your time to mull over the "Collective Topics". Your thoughts are always appreciated. Even grammatical corrections.
BTW, is there a strike ??

Thank GOD those shuttles are going away. All they did was create traffic jams and noise pollution.

Well, since you asked for help, PLEASE learn the difference between "effect" and "affect", and use a spel czeker so you can see what a "fragmentary sentence" is.

Happy lunch hour to all in the "Big Collective" that is Los Angeles.

We hope that all you in public and private sector had a restful weekend. Some like "Third Floor Employee", Rafael Hernandez. May have been mulling over some "collective" flash backs to past endeavors, But I digress.

Red Burro, you are probably trying to write about “Rafael Gonzalez” not “Rafael Hernandez” And as usual, you say nothing, if you have any thing of significance to reveal, just say it. You three stooges write nothing but rumor and innuendo.

My grandmother gets her hair styled by someone who knows someone who delivers bottled water to the third floor of City Hall. The water delivery guy heard some talking about a blog run by three stooges. I will as my grandmother to talk to her hair-dresser, who will then talk to someone who knows some who knows the water delivery guy and ask him to keep his ears open. You see I also have inside sources for receiving the good gossip at city hall.

This bit of spin from Maviglio,

Leaders of charities statewide, as well as tax experts, are rallying to the defense of Speaker Nunez (disclosure: my boss) after allegations in the LA Times today.

"Not only is it okay for elected officials to support worthwhile charities, it is their civic responsibility. Their status as leaders in the community make their support invaluable. Our member agencies work with elected officials all the time to help them raise resources they need to serve vulnerable children and families. We are quick to criticize elected officials for being self-serving; we need to be just as quick to commend them for serving others. We applaud Speaker Nunez’s efforts to help charities in our communities." -- Carroll Schroeder, MS, Executive Director, California Alliance of Child and Family Services, Sacramento, California.

"Clearly, Speaker Nunez is involved in community charity events, as are virtually all political figures at the local, state or national level. The real question is whether the events truly benefited the children and the community. If the facts bear that out, then the IRS is unlikely to have a concern." -- Marcus S. Owens, Caplin & Drysdale, Washington, D.C., Director of the Exempt Organizations Division at the IRS from 1990 until 2000; now in private law practice in DC.

Way to go MMOOOO!! Steve

Hmmm....
** POIZNER MAY CLOSE DEAL WITH ANTI-TERM LIMITS CHANGE CAMPAIGN THIS WEEK. I’m hearing that California Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner, the super-rich Silicon Valley inventor of technology to track cell phones, will reach and announce an agreement with the campaign to defeat the term limits change initiative on California’s February ballot, Proposition 93.

Poizner said during the Southern California fire crisis the week before last that he would take personal charge of rebuilding efforts. So presumably he won’t have much time to play a role with the campaign, which is being spearheaded by a controversial DC outfit called US Term Limits, whose longtime head was indicted for fraud in Oklahoma.

On the other hand, it may not take that long to write a check. Poizner’s consultant Wayne Johnson is reportedly serving as a media consultant for the No on 93 campaign. Poizner would like to run for the Republican gubernatorial nomination

I seem to recall the Poizner had the personality of a parsnip. He'd be good as a (losing no doubt) candidate though, because he'd force the liberal democrats running against him to fess up on their positions.

Hooray for Poizner, or for anyone else who can help fund a campaign to keep the sleazy Nunez from being able to stay on as Speaker. No way should the public have to be stuck with this lowlife in such a position of authority. Ethics, integrity, principles: these are supposed to be important qualities, especially for those who profess to be leaders...and Nunez seems to have foresaken even a sham effort at having them...

Why is that anyone who criticizes Red Spot or the other two stooges on this blog automatically called Jack Hoff?

Is Red Spot above or beyond criticism?

Spotty, just do what you always do and delete the offending comment...that way you protect YOUR freedome of speach. Screw the rest of us.

City Councilman Jose Huizar recently was honored by the Hispanic Scholarship Fund Hall of Fame for his success in overcoming obstacles....A native of Zacatecas, Mexico, Huizar was raised in Boyle Heights. He graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and a master's from Princeton University.

TOO BAD NONE OF HUIZAR'S DEGREES EDUCATED HIS SORRY BUTT. HE'S STILL A DUMB ASS AND NO ONE RESPECTS HIM IN HIS OWN DISTRICT. HE DOES MORE FOR ILLEGALS THEN THE LEGAL RESIDENTS
