Jon Lauritzen
The Sister City has learned that former Los Angeles Unified School Board member Jon Lauritzen has passed away.
According to the Daily News, Lauritzen who was 68, died of a brain tumor.

Nope; he was one of the folks that kept our kids from being educated while he protected an antiquated system of multi-level imcompetence.
Sorry he died, but sorry he was oin the board for so long.
He should have moved to Waterloo; the days he had left wold have made it seem so much longer.
actually , he was one of the guys trying to prevent the Mayor and his cronies from hijacking the school budget and bankrupting the City.

I'm jealous now, he gets to rest in peace while we all still have to fight the shadiness.
I agree with Jack (gasp!). He WAS one of the good guys - LAUSD could use a few more like him.
