Why is City Hall's anti-union activity not being reported and exposed in Los Angeles? Why is the union not exposing what is going on downtown? Do they know who is running the shill organizations? Who controls who?
The Engineers and Architects Association is organizing to unionize currently "at will" city employees, including council aides and analysts. Ballots are already out.
But the real story is that in response to the EAA's filing for representation of these employees, city management created organizations (Fiscal and Policy Professionals Association, Association of Legislative Professionals, Association of Legislative Analysts, etc.) in hopes of splitting the pro-union vote so there would be no union winner.

Officers of these anti-union shill groups are from city departments and supposedly "pro union" council offices under the supposedly pro-union Mayor.

I don't get it what pro-union offices are involved in anti-union? Those pdfs are like 90 pages long. Who are we supposed to be looking for? Is it Villar?
Zuma, you clearly have drunk the EAA kool-aid and don't get what is really going on here. EAA tried to force Council staff to join their union. The rival group was not created by management (that is a lie) but rather by deputies who signed up knowing what they were getting themselves into as at will employees and who resent being forced to join what many consider the ABSOLUTE WORST City union. Please spend 5 minutes on research.

Thanks for the comment! I will be posting it in upcoming threads on the issue. Regarding the "kool-aid drinking" aspect. I didn't editorialize, or opinionize...just merely posted the release. (Which by the way, mayor sam blackberried me that he hoped someone would post it, since he was away from his computer.)

Didn't the union get some of these people elected? If so why would they come out publicly against a union trying to organize.?
Weasel Weiss prolly put his staff up to it, but Huizar in 14? I'd like to think he wouldn't do that, but his chief of staff Joe Avila is listed as an officer in a shill group. Smithalso has someone on one of the boards but is he pro-union anyway? What is CAO and don't they work for the mayor? Villar is definately a union frined, just like Weezy said he was. I walked for those guys in my union colors which I won't do again.
