Speaking of Zuma Dogg "Still At Large"...Did I spot a pirate today? Maybe HE can tell you where I am blogging today?
Here's a story for you guys. Today the GM of LA Animal Services claimed that LA is already a "nokill" city. He said he only killed 675 animals or 18% of all animals that came in the door this month. How is that "nokill?" In the last 12 months they killed over 22,000 animals. How is that "nokill?"
Maybe Chief Bratton should just say that there is no crime in LA. LA is a "no-crime" City. Maybe the Mayor can say we have no gangs in LA.
Does anyone else here think that this is insane? You can't make LA no-kill just by saying it is when you're still killing 41% of all animals that come into the shelters. Here is the insane blog of the GM.

The truth is that the "22,000 animals killed in the last 12 months" as cited by 5:13 gets more coverage than the U.S. Citizens killed on the road by illegals!
Geez, the priorities of many people here sure are screwed up!
I never said animals are more important than humans. If I see a kid or a dog in the road and could only save one, I'd save the kid, but I'd try to save them both. Animals are not the only thing I care about. I too was saddened and angered by that illegal immigrant killing that director and his son while under the influence. That is horrible too. It's all horrible.
I was just pissed that the City paid Director has the nerve to lie to the public about his numbers. It's like the Mayor saying we have no illegal aliens in LA. No one drives drunk in LA. To pretend that there is no problem is a recipe for disaster.
In a last- minute move, the City of Crybaby Losers have filed a motion to have the Prop R legal challenge moved from Department 85 and out of Judge Dzintra Janavs courtroom. A new hearing date is now set for June 7, 2007. It is to be determined which Judge will be assigned to the case.
