BREAKING NEWS: Judicial Watch joins Hernandez & Hayes in Legal Challenge to Proposition R.
In keeping their pledge to continue the legal challenge to the unconstitutional Proposition R, the Team of Hernandez and Hayes are two steps closer to success.
With the April 11th hearing date less than 21 days away, the legal challenge to Proposition R is joined by National Legal Advocates, Judicial Watch.
Prop R, the controversial proposition which extended the term limits for Los Angeles City Council members is set to be heard by Judge Dzintra Janavs on April 11, 2007, 9:30 AM at the Stanley Mosk Court House, Dept 85 in Los Angeles.
Attorney Candice E. Jackson will remain as the lead attorney and is joined by a legal team from Judicial Watch.
On March 20, 2007 Attorney Jackson filed the second set of documents involving the legal challenge. The “ Notice of Motion and Motion for Issuance of Writ of Mandate; Memorandum of Points and Authorities” have been filed on behalf of Petitioners David Hernandez and Ted Hayes.
The City of Los Angeles is now in the process of filing the response to the Points and Authorities.
A press conference is being scheduled and will be announced.
The challenge would not have reached this point if it were not for those who have by their words, actions and funds kept this moving forward.

Thank God someone is standing up for the people. I don't know shit about David Hernandez, but I would vote for him based on this superb effort. Hopefully he'll improve the animal shelers, too, and figure out a way to stop the civil service insanity.
David, we're behind you and will support you all the way. You will have a lot of clout if you win this one.
