RINO Invasion of Los Angeles

The Sister City was contacted by representatives of the campaign for Villaraigosa backed lawyer Tamar Galatzan - who is seeking the school board seat and control of the LA Unified and its construction budget for the Mayor - begging us to make sure y'all knew of the "Republican" support for their candidate.

It's all well and good since with no dog in the fight, the local GOP has to make a Hobson's choice between a liberal union backed teacher or a liberal Villaraigosa backed government lawyer. Not the kind of place Republicans would normally want to be in.

However sometime ago Republicans learned what the Democrats had discovered sometime ago. Forget ideology and what's good for the party, get the best deal you can for yourself.

This is what has led do-nothing Republicans in California to do things like permanently assign themselves to minority status in the California legislature and what would have been once thought unthinkable, begin to actually support socialistic government health care schemes.

Here in Los Angeles the local Republican leadership, being only a handful of individuals these days, has essentially rolled over on every issue from border security to public school reform and give in to the shady, corrupt Democrats because they learned they could make a dime or two by doing so.

We don't have to look too far at the greed and corruption of the Los Angeles County GOP under the "leadership" of Linda Boyd and her husband Doug, who rather than support one of the two qualified Republican candidates for Mayor - Walter Moore and William Wyatt - took Jim Hahn's earnest money and did everything possible to steer Republican votes to Hahn. (Some small justice was meted out months later with the "Republican Bitch Slap of 2007," but this hardly makes a difference.)

So in some kind of deal with the Devil (Villaraigosa) we have RINO Republicans such as Greig Smith, Cameron Smythe, Richard Riordan and others going all out for a Democrat when they should be putting their time and money into developing conservative candidates for local office and supporting the party that gave them everything they have. Party that used to stand for something, no longer does.

Because once good reporters who used to get the local story right - such as those at the LA Daily News - have entirely dropped the ball, its probably now up to the Sister City alone to get the facts out there.

Here at the Sister City, if you read us every day, you will connect the dots between campaign contributions, government contracts, school construction projects, jobs for friends, contracts to former elected officials, etc. that all line up to create this constellation of shady corruption, lack of local leadership and further negative impact on the community.

Follow the money dum dums.

The "Republican Party" in L.A. is an irrelevant, for-profit joke.

If they were serious about improving the quality of life here, they would have fielded a candidate of their own. Instead, they merely throw monthly cocktail parties and collect and spend dues, to no effect.

Walter I feel for you. Here you were running for Mayor and what did the local party do ? Support Hahn. I still subscribe to the "CONSERVATIVE GOLDWATER/ RREAGAN" wing of the party. The wing that is control by the "KENNEDY REPUBLICAN", RIORDAN, and the other "COUNTRY CLUB" members are the ones that drove the party into minority status on the national level. Unlike you Walter, I feel that their is still hope, People such as Ted Hayes, David Hernandez, and "EX-OFICIO" are the future. What we need is a meesage that will resonate in this "BLUE SEA OF GOVERMENTAL DEPENDENCY". Tell homeowners that "BONDS ARE CODE FOR TAXES", "MORE POLICE", "UPHOLD ALL LAWS, LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL". As I type this, Rush Linbaugh is taking the "KENNEDY REPUBLICAN" to task for his comments about compromising for the sake of. We need to remain focus on our message of local enpowerment and less intrusive goverment. Lastly, we cannot give up the urban areas to the "BLUECRATS". The is a fertile ground for growth if local, state, and national party officals work together to refine our message.

Ok the Hahn for mayor situation was two years ago. There actually is new leadership at RPLAC which began January of this year. While Linda Boyd is still the County chair, there is a new executive board who will not let situations like Hahn happen again. You can actually expect a new county party to emerge over the next two years. You should also be aware that Linda Boyd is no longer drawing any salary from RPLAC and Doug Boyd never did.

Mayor Sammy,

Let me count the ways you are wrong here my friend.

You are either ignorant to the facts or you are just plain dumb, i prefer to believe you are just ignorant.

First off, let's just get this out of the way - Louise Pugliese is going to lose, for all the walter moore shouting to the contrary it isn't going to happen, sorry.

As for Lauritzen -- Sam -- you do know that he isn't actually running the district. He isn't actually in charge of his vote. He isn't actually forming and stating an opinion that is his own.

If you are a LAUSD vendor or union ally you go and talk to Ed Burke. He runs the seat, Jon is a joke to all his other colleagues on the board--he speaks but no one listens.

But of course we should have someone like that helping form education policy.

As for Tamar -- you got it wrong Sam, she is a Neighborhood prosecutor and you purposefully typed it to mislead.

And I can’t believe you have succumb to the UFO's are coming crowd, in that this is in somehow a way to control the construction budget, and your evidence is to link to a Zuma Dogg post titled "twilight zone."

You do understand Zuma has no evidence, facts, documentation, witnesses or anything like that to make this point. But because you've turned your website into the "everything against the mayor" you have lost your perspective.

When Antonio Watch, Walter Moore, Jim Alger, Greg Nelson, Zuma Dogg and David Hernandez are your sources for news -- you can bet it’s totally going to be objective and factually correct.

Antonio Watch - a former lowly and lonely political hack with no political home anymore.

Walter Moore - A former lowly and re-married by an Elvis impersonator political candidate with no political party anymore.

Jim Alger - A former losing candidate who lost to a democrat who didn’t campaign -- who has no political base anymore.

Greg Nelson - A former City staffer who was fired (wait umm, he was actually not fired, ok why lie, he was fired) for incompetence who has no city job anymore.

Zuma Dogg-- just has no home.

David Hernandez - A self described do-gooder who has lost literally every single political battle and campaign he has waged, a man with no moral compass except to find the right media vacuum to get HIS NAME out there. His home is with the wing-nuts and angry people who are upset, they don't know why, but I suspect they are mad because the sun is out today.

Just thought I’d help clear the air of all the pollution your site has spewed.

:)

p.s. the difference between this blog and what i write, i am factually corect.

ask walter...

And, of course, "anonymous," a person whose credentials, achievements and experience are so remarkable that he. . . remains "anonymous."

So, anyhow, Red Spot, here's what you're missing: there is no ideology in the Republican party here. This isn't red vs. blue. This is green, period. They're all about money, and nothing else. The supposed clash of liberal vs. conservative is bread and circuses to distract the public from what's really going on: the use of government to redistribute wealth from the middle class to special interests.

P.S. About a third of California's voters are "without a party," and that group is growing faster than the two main political parties, which, I believe, are actually shrinking in membership in this state.

WHOA, whoa, whoa.

Is this the same Mayor Sam Republican boychick that ENDORSED Villaraigosa for Mayor last time around, now spitting out:

"So in some kind of deal with the Devil (Villaraigosa) we have RINO Republicans such as Greig Smith, Cameron Smythe, Richard Riordan and others going all out for a Democrat . . . Party that used to stand for something, no longer does."

Uh YEAH, no DUH!

Do what I hypocritically say, not what I doo-doo.

(OH, and PLEASE don't say you had no choice. Your FIRST choice was a democrat, TOO. In the mayoral primary).

Walter,
you have a point about the "GREEN CREEP" that has corrupted both parties. their was a report this weekend that the "WELFARE STATE" is growing again. This is under the supposed "REPUBLICAN" administration of "W" and the "KENNEDY REPUBLICAN". On the national level, the "CONTRACT WITH AMERICA" became the "SELLOUT TO BELTWAY VALUES". In our state, the "KENNEDY REPUBLICAN" sold us out to keep MARIA from saying "NO". The "KENNEDY REPUBLICAN" needs to refer back to Pete Wilson to see what happens to your national aspirations when you sell out your core beliefs (TAX INCREASES). One thing that we can agree upon is this. When the bill comes due for all these "BOND MEASURES" and the looming "FISCAL NUKE" that is the Public Employees Retirement System. Then rest assure their will be bi-partisan support for change.

Mayor Sam,

This is James Kenneth Hahn.

I'll send you an e-mail with my current address. I'd like to get that formal letter of apology from you, ASAP - for my scrapbook.

By the way, I'm still not in prison, nor do I ever expect to be. That's not what I meant by my current address.

It does not matter that two of seven officers have changed; Linda Boyd is still LAGOP Chairman and the LAGOP Chairman is not beholden to the Executive Board comprised of the other 6 officers; the Board is only ADVISORY to the Chairman! Read the bylaws at www.lagop.org

The real power in the LAGOP, if they care to exercise it, is in the Executive Committee comprised of the representatives of the Assembly District, Senate District and Congressional District Committees.

The LAGOP will be better off with a change of leadership now. Linda and Doug should be focusing on raising their newborn daughter, not spending full-time in politics. The LAGOP needs a chairman who will work with the Assembly District Committees to raise money, recruit good GOP candidates for all partisan offices, register more Republicans, operate headquarters and get out the vote on election day. Is that too much to ask for? Many chairmen before Linda did that job without taking any kind of salary or renumeration from the LAGOP.

Glad to see David Hernandez gets honorable mention. Would hate to think all that work has gone unnoticed.

One reason you do not know of his successes is that he has no need to broadcast them.

Getting PERA passed in the US House of Representatives was just the tip of the ice berg.

Speaking of just plain mad, look in the mirror, that figure you see glaring back at you is none other than you!

So, be well and rest assured you will have David to upset you for a long time to come.

Walter,
what we have here is a "DEVELOPING GREEN CENTER" point of view. People who make up this "POLITICAL FACTION" are Eli Broad, Phillip Anshultz, Richard Riordon, the "KENNEDY REPUBLICAN" and other developers. Their center of being revolves around the almighty dollor. they don't care if those dollors come from the private sector or from "COPORATE WELFARE VENTURES". (ie. LA LIVE, GRAND AVENUE). In their continuing lust for more dollors, they will take on willing allies such as "HIS POLLONESS" and the Unions who will get a piece of the action. Walter, I still have hope for my fellow "REDHEADS". But this "DEVELOPING GREENS" need to be stop before they loot every public dollor in the name of their greed.

I am very conservative. I voted for Lorenzen because I figure the present school management will create such a mess sooner or later that the district will get broken up. What a choice! The Alcalde's stooge or the union's stooge.

If I could pick up my house and move it out of the Chitty and County of LA I would do it in an instant. A curse on the lot of them.
