Daily News Joins LA Times in Endorsing Monica Rodriguez
The Los Angeles Daily News announced their endorsement of Monica Rodriguez's Campaign for Los Angeles City Council on Monday. The endorsement gives Rodriguez the backing of both major Los Angles Newspapers. The Daily News Editorial board praised Rodriguez saying she "brings the sort of real-world awareness too often lacking among career politicians." They characterized opponent Richard Alarcon as "cynical" and "self serving" saying, "one gets the sense that his career comes before his constituents." The Daily News went on to say that Alarcon's candidacy is a "slap in the face to the constituents who had just entrusted him with a term in the Assembly."
The second-largest circulating daily newspaper in Los Angeles, the Daily News has served valley residents and the greater LA area for nearly a century. Last week, Rodriguez received the endorsement of the Los Angeles Times.

John Shallman and Ralph Rodriguez have done a great job for Monica.
Too bad Monica can not stand on her own feet.
As opposed to Antonio Villaraigosa, Eli Broad and Mike Trujillo who are witnessing the disintegration of the Galatzan, Vladovic and Williams campaigns.
Galatzan was endorsed by the DN... but they are Antonio suck-ups so who gives a shit?
Sierra Club is endorsing KLEINER, LaMotte, and Kayser respectively.
Alarcon, is as opportunistic as they come he divorced his wife because she didn't run for council after he left for Sacramentol. He now lives in an abaondoned house that belongs to his girlfriends brother.
I can see why any thinking person would not vote for him.
Plus as someone who has worked with him when he was in the city he is not to smart, it takes three explanantions for him to understand an idea.
Monica (Lewinsky) Rodriguez must of blown real good to receive the endorsements from both papers.
