"Gang Czar" Is Russian For "Tax Hike"

Friday, January 12, 2007
A "study," for which City Hall paid $500,000 of your money, was released. The authors urged a "Marshall Plan" and a "Gang Czar" to cut crime in L.A.

Saturday, January 13, 2007
Yours truly writes, at his MooreIsBetter.com blog, the following: "As the chief executive, isn't [the Mayor] supposed to coordinate the efforts of the various existing departments? Of course not. Rather, every 'problem' justifies the creation of yet another bureaucracy and, of course, a massive new expenditure of your money into the bank accounts of others."

Tuesday, January 17, 2007
"[C]ity leaders proposed a $50-million tax increase to beef up anti-gang programs." "Councilwomen Janice Hahn, Jan Perry and Wendy Greuel proposed asking city voters to approve a tax increase to fund anti-gang programs."

Of course! Another tax increase! THAT's exactly what this town really needs to become safe -- higher taxes! Never mind that the City received $700 million more in revenues this year than last. It's that additional $50 million that stands between us and safety. Why didn't someone think of this before?!

"I think we all know the problem is that there isn't enough money for anti-gang and prevention efforts- and we have to do something about it now," said Clowncilwoman Janice Hahn. Well, duh! As we all know, the ONLY reason we EVER have any public policy problem is inadequate taxing and spending. It's never a question of existing policies, personnel, managment, etc. Rather, if something is wrong, we obviously are not paying enough or spending enough.

Plus, you can bet this tax will apply ONLY to people who own real estate. After all, homeowners are the ones who cause all the crime, so they, naturally, are the ones who should carry the "Gang Czar" tax burden.

Why do we need a Gang Czar and a new bureaucracy? Well, because the Mayor's far too busy traveling to China, London, Washington and Sacramento -- on your tab -- to deal with trifling matters like making the city safe. Interfering with the mayor's photo-shoot schedule is out of the question, so let's hire yet another person, and set up yet another bureaucracy, to conduct meetings and write studies. Criminals hate that stuff.

Hey, Mister Mayor, a simple question for you. You've been in office a year and a half. How many more police officers do we have now than we have the day you took office? Any? And don't just say how many you've hired unless you also tell me how many have departed. I want to know how far you have come in increasing the size of the police force, as you promised to do during your campaign.

These are the dumbest women in office but then add to them the Tijuana Rose chola Gloria Romero. They are all an embarrassement. Ok these clowncil members failed to put a 1/2 tax to add more police officers in 2004 even though the city voted 64% YES on Measure A. Connie Rice told these embezzels last year $82 million was being wasted on gang programs. But wait, now these same idiots want to tax the residents and get more money to waste on gang programs.

WE won't get new recruits with a gang banger mayor, morons as city council members passing dumb ass motions and wasting tax money, every being critical of LAPD doing the right thing and is it any wonder we don't have enough officers on the street. Why isn't anyone stating that LAPD officers have been assaulted this year is up? Criminals are becoming the victims and clowncil are demonizing officers. Gee, wonder why no one wants to join LAPD. Clowncil and mayor are too stupid to figure it out. No wonder they get bad press and the nations makes fun of LA.

Walter,
I totally agree. The front page of the Daily Breeze has a story about the "gang cease-fire deal reached in (Harbor) Gateway," along with the obligatory accompanying story about Janice Hahn wanting to throw more money (i.e. tax increase on homeowners) at the problem. All for "gang prevention" type of activities. Bullshit. First, repeal S.O. 40, incarcerate and deport all illegal gang members, stop the selective enforcement of laws, and as you said earlier, deploy a "surge" of more cops to get tough with these animals who are destroying this city. It's unbelievable that the illegal alien lobby is so strong in LA that we can't even discuss eliminating SO 40, or demand that ICE enforce immigration laws rather than just beg the feds for more money. And the politically correct hack who I used to respect (Bratton) should stop cavorting and preening at Hollywood crap such as the Golden Globes and spend more time DOING something about these thugs!

Good morning ladies and gentlemen (removes hat and bows low with sardonic look upon face):

Yes, indeed you all should be fabulously, gloriously happy with the slew of folks you voted into office in November as well as giving a big thumbs up to Proposition "R". The average man and woman tried to tell you. A grassroots movement tried to tell you. Hells bells, even pirates tried to tell you. But NO, you did not, would not, could not and ultimately refused to listen.

So now you are unhappy because your pants pockets are being tugged this way and that way by greedy fingers. Makes you wish that Robin Hood were still alive, savvy?

And when you wallow in your unhappiness you can shake the hand of the bloke next to you because THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED!!!

On another note, one of the pirate crew sallied forth to the Catorce Quarter where we hear that there is widespread discontent with a certain city clowncilman. Said clowncilman is insecure in his chair as he has had his helmsman about the area, meeting with people and making sure the wind blows the way HE wants it to blow. Talk about servicing the boss-man with a blow job, savvy? Methinks this is unfair to the other chaps who are in a similar position. (Sighs) But this is the way certain people like it. It's only unfair if the money spent to win is money wasted with a loss.

But let's talk about something else, shall we? There is a rumor of a movement afoot to force taxpayers to pay a personal City income tax. Businesses pay it in the form of a City Business Tax. But so far only businesses must pay that tax. Imagine the amount of money that would pour in if City residents had to pay a City personal income tax just like they pay State and Federal income tax. Mind you it won't be called an income tax, but rather a tax with a fancy name like "citizen wage tax" or "social justice tax" or even "pole tax" if you have a light pole near your front door. Yes, the Catorce Quarter can be proud as this brilliant gem of an idea came from someone who has sway in that part of the woods. Anyone care to guess who that might be?

(Frowns) What? Do I hear the moans and groans of outrage? (Narrows eyes) Shut your cake holes, THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED!!! It's called having your cake and someone else to eat it for you.

Antonio put a tax on trash fees. We're not going to get LAPD recruits with the lame council people and mayor we have cause who wants to work for a city when you and your family get trashed for doing your job?

Walter, what is Antonio doing now with the money he's collecting for the trash????

Aye, mayhap a privateer and a buccaneer should join forces? The pueblo council mayest shake in their boots; for the time draws nigh they should be surrounded!

Me government hath only today given its written permission to propose such a joining of forces. Mayhap we sit and chatter about it presently?

Me flag I serve under, for those uninformed souls, hath fifteen stars and fifteen stripes! Me other flag sayeth, "Treadest not upon me!"

Good afternoon Lord Chapman (makes elegant leg):

So a true Yankee clipper are you flying the Navy Jack as opposed to Jack Rackham's pennant? Oh bugger, that has only 13 stripes. While I am not Yank born, I do have the deepest respect for those New Englander's who fly the Navy Jack or Gasden's flag. We generally fly Rackham's flag while at sea and Edward England's flag while in the City, and the Jolly Roger while in the Sandwich Islands, savvy?

And I seem to recall spending some time at Oxford with old Lord Gasden's get. Rather chummy blokes they were. While they went on to bigger and better, one could see that their talents for organizing were apparent. I hear by the by that one of them is organizing an organization to organize an exploratory expedition into uncharted waters. Smee Nunez turned rejected this individual but perhaps now regrets it for the sake of his colleague.

I do consider myself more of a pirate than a buccaneer; that would be Mr. Dogg who wears the silly hat and swings without a strap. I am fond of engaging in, if you will, the sort of thing that pirates do best which is negotiate. Sots, on the other hand, do not negotiate. They just take. Which explains why there are more taxing sots than taxed blokes.

We will send an emissary to meet with you, for we will not come ourselves. Only 5 souls in all of this fair city have ever seen all 7 of us together at one time. Contact any one of those and you will have your emissary, savvy? Be forewarned that among the five there are none who snitch. They can only tell you what they know of us and in turn tell us what they have learned of you. Mr. Dogg may know of one of these persons. Madame Wu may know of another. Ask them.

But we must be careful for I should not want history to repeat itself in the form of events in San Pedro. The sots would like nothing more than to find out who the pirates are and hang them as after all dead men tell no tales.

By your leave, Lord Chapman.

Where the hell are all the Congress politicians in this city? You would think if they all came out and asked for money in Sacramento to help the gang war here in LA we would be better off. Not one of them has been out spoken especially the ones in the neighborhoods where the problem has increased. But I guarantee if there was a backlash here in LA against illegals they would all come out like they did for the march last year.

The NYT ran a story today on fact that LA is the gang capital of the world. Tony Villar is only blowing smoke because his dirty little secret is spreading all over the country.

Villar is working for Mexico! WE know it, and now the rest of the country is waking up.
Villar will NEVER do anything about the gangs because the DRUG MONEY is the biggest source of revenue for MEXICO!

LA is the biggest LAUNDROMAT FOR VILLAR AND HIS GANGBANGERS. The city councils are FULL of drug cartel runners! All of the southeast districts have been infiltrated!

There is ONLY one solution, outside of reporting and deporting every gangbanger...and that is to STOP PAYING TAXES!

One of the posters said it all..."WE ARE BEING GANG RAPED"!
That says it all!!!!
