Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Wednesday
Chalk up another victory and more power for the massive Service Employees International Union here in Los Angeles. After years of fighting they managed to get commercial building owners to roll over and let them unionize their security guards. Los Angeles continues to earn its reputation as the most business un-friendly city in the nation. When you chase off all the companies who's going to pay taxes for your schemes?
This past Monday was a federal holiday and a lot of people were off from work and school. Driving on the freeway was wonderful. Tuesday morning it was miserable. Traffic in Los Angeles grows worse and there is no end in sight. That being said MTA officials as well as this old, dead Republican mayor are wondering why Governor RINO is withholding funds for highway and rail projects in Los Angeles. Apparently he's not answering.
Mayor Villaraigosa is scheduled to travel toWashington, D.C., next week to give a speech about poverty during the 75th winter meeting of the United States Conference of Mayors. More than 250 mayors of cities across the country are expected to attend the three-day conference, which begins a week from tomorrow.
The Daily News takes a look at the first year of the Eric Garcetti City Council presidency. Garcetti makes the case that he has accomplished a lot but critics say his record is littered with the controversial way the term limits proposal Measure R was placed on the ballot, spats with City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo and the infamous $2.7 million dog food settlement. Toss in restrictions on public comment, event waivers and all kinds of other Clowncil nonsense and you begin to wonder.
Eastside White Guy takes the view that LAPD discipline hearings should be open to the public. So has Mayor Villaraigosa and State Senator Gloria Romero. This is just another way to run off more LAPD officers to the Sheriff's Department, Orange County, Arizona, wherever. Good going!
Zuma Dogg and his co-horts have won round one of their legal battle against the City of Los Angeles for banning them and their compadres from selling arts and crafts on the Venice boardwalk. Martini Republic salutes the D - O to the double G man while at the same time finding the opportunity to take a delicious swipe at the Westside White Guy who has now taken to adling around the blog-LA-sphere hat in hand. Brother can you spare a PayPal?
And finally, looniness is not confined to Los Angeles - the Three Ring Circus - alone. The story of a Yale University singing group that was allegedly attacked for singing the National Anthem on New Year's Eve has now taken on the wackiness that is oh so typical of the city by the bay, San Francisco. Parents of the students attacked have been critical of the San Francisco Police Department's investigation of the incident so far. Comments made by one parent critical of SFPD Chief Heather Fong provoked protectionist remarks from SF Mayor Gavin Newsom who wondered why the students were allegedly engaging in underage drinking to begin with. That led to one of the party hosts critcizing Newsom for his recent reported relationship with a 19 year old waitress who was seen at an event drinking a glass of wine. As a side note folks in San Francisco were not as upset the Mayor was dating a woman half his age but that the young lady was a Republican. How fun!

Mayor Sam those rich kids who attacked the Yale choir are the ones who should be held liable. One rich daddy was on O'Reilly and is in denial his little son did anything wrong. Goes to show once again money talks.

The 3 stooges wants to tax the residents of LA once again because of their incompetence at not being responsible and with no accountability on the gang programs we now have. $2 billion wasted but they want more money. HELLLLLLL NOOOOOOO
....Meanwhile, Councilwomen Janice Hahn, Jan Perry and Wendy Greuel proposed asking city voters to approve a tax increase to fund anti-gang programs

"Stupid is as Stupid does" or so the saying goes and here's an example of the ignorance of Bitter Bernie and his croonies the black activists on Board of Rights hearings.
"No one can understand why the change was made. There has been no public discussion," Parks said.
ANYONE WITH A BRAIN KNOW THAT ITS BECAUSE OF A SUPREME COURT DECISION MORON. BUT LA SLIMES FORGOT TO PRINT THAT TODAY.
AND HERE WE GO WITH THE THREATS AGAIN FROM THE ANIMAL ZOO. SHOCKING LOGAN CALLS HIMSELF A REV.
"The Rev. Lewis Logan II of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church likened the secret hearing that cleared the officer to "terrorism," because it had a shocking effect on the public and was conceived behind closed doors.
The secret hearing that cleared the officer "contradicts justice and creates an anxiety and a sense of tension and a lack of trust on behalf of the community in reference to the LAPD," Logan, a city commissioner, told the council.
HEY NC REPS. CAN HE BE THIS VOCAL EVEN IF HE'S ON BONC? SOMEONE SAID HE CAN'T.

Another dumb ass politican should just give it up. Instead of supporting the LEGAL residents of his district Cedillo is wasting tax dollars supporting illegals.
SACRAMENTO - On the same day last week that state Sen. Gil Cedillo introduced legislation - for the ninth consecutive year - to allow illegal immigrants to obtain driver licenses, law enforcement officials were meeting in Sacramento....issues discussed were federal and state court rulings restricting authority of law enforcement officers to seize vehicles...in many communities the majority of cars impounded belong to unlicensed drivers in the country illegally.
DUHHHHHH!!!!!!

Is he part of the Prop R bullshit they placed on ballot? Let's all hope Prop R ruling by the same judge turns this city around and overturns it. The clowncil couldn't even make quorum today. Another embarrassment to this city.
Bitter Bernie is a coconut and the blacks say he is the most arrogant asshole around. He never went into South LA when he was chief. He's been rumored to have told people he's embarrassed by his own.

I won my bet - that Tony Cardenas would launch the new year by being involved in another illegal campaign contribution.
As reported by Daily News: "A woman who gave multiple contributions to the campaign of Los Angeles City Councilman Tony Cardenas in 2001 was fined $12,000 by the city Ethics Commission on Tuesday.
The panel said Christina Diaz Lopez, who owns the San Fernando Beauty Academy, reimbursed five employees and others in making $2,500 in contributions to Cardenas's campaign, Cardenas ended up losing that election to Councilwoman Wendy Greuel, but came back to win a seat in a neighboring district in 2003."
The real story is what C. Lopez counted on Tony Cardenas delivering for the "donation."

Where is this on the Daily News?
