Have You Heard Kevin James on 790-KABC? You Should!
It's KABC's Kevin James, y'all...(He LOVES ZD, but HATES when I say, "y'all", y'all! So there's three.)
Everyone knows Doug McIntyre, from the KABC morning drive time slot (5am-9am). Before Doug, so deservedly got the slot, he was pulling the "Red Eye Radio" shift (1a-5a) on KABC.
Some guy named Kevin James took Doug's spot, as the new host of "Red Eye", and I've only started listening recently, as I've become more politcally active in this town, and let me tell you, this guy Kevin James is fantastic! If you like Mayor Sam's blog, and Zuma Dogg's ranting and posting...you will love and be further enlightened by the knowlege kicked by Kevin. If this guy had a national talk show of his own, it would EASILY be the best national talk show.
I know some of you simply cannot hear Kevin's "Red Eye Radio" on KABC because of his 1am-5a time slot. I have a lot of my calls into his show that I will post soon. Check him out on the KABC website (www.KABC.com). And I will post some additional comments from Mayor Sam readers, that was the final straw in abusing my privilge as an "official" MS contributor, to give Kevin James, of 790-KABC Radio a little well deserved publicity for his show, cause he's right in between my two other favorite talk show host that everyone already knows and loves; Doug McIntyre and Mr. KABC.
Wake up at 1am to roll a tape of his show if you have to, and if you ever get a radio survey in the mail, write down that you listen to Kevin, Doug and Mr. KABC on KABC Radio. (10p-9a!!!)

KABC has had great host over the years in this time slot. Ray Breim was the late night talk king in this town. doug was the next to claim the "LATE NIGHT CROWN" Kevin is the heir apperant. I so happen to here My BRO and Kevin this morning on "RED EYE RADIO" Kevin is a star in the making. Zuma, you are not far behind. Keep to the truth and as Ray Briem would say, "STRAIGHT AHEAD"!!!

I've been listening to Kevin James for awhile, mainly when he subs for Rantel. Great show. He's a former federal prosecutor who is strongly against illegal immigration and the destructive sanctuary city policies that exist here in la la land.
BTW Zuma, I notice there is no entry for Mr. Dogg in wikipedia. wassup with that?
Here are some comments from yesterday's GARS thread that prompted me to feature Kevin's show today.
PLUS, SPECIAL SHOUT-OUT TO MARK ISLER of 790 KABC, who filled in for Kevin last week, has his own Saturday night show at 10pm, and can fill in for Rush, Bill O', or Sean, anyday, it would be a much better show.

Kevin James on KABC just spent one hour raging on Villaraigosa and the gang problem in LA. Kevin James is THE BEST of all the talk radio jocks, but he's on from 1 to 5 in the morning. 4 hours of blasting Villagraigosa!
He also played a snippet from a tape of James Hahn (don't know the date) saying that "Villagrossa is pro-gangs and from the time he was in the Assembly he was an OBSTRUCTIONIST on all anti-gang legisltation and that he refused to impose any penalty or punishment for the gang members. He also said that once a gang member...always a gang member."
Kevin was talking about the horrendous beheadings by the drug cartel in Mexico, and said it is COMING TO LA SOON!
He said that all of these hundreds of gangmembers are DOMESTIC TERRORISTS.
Dogg....please contact Kevin James! You need to be on his show!
Villaraigosa and his refusal to deal with his precious gangbangers is becoming a HUGE issue!!! We can get rid of him once and for all if all the shit hits the fan!

Myself, i crash out early and was wide awake as you were talking to Kevin. regarding your post, we need to think about gangs in this way. 20,000 potential terrorist are wandering the streets of our county. Our Housing Projects are "LITTLE BAGDADS" where police are subject to daily shotings. More important, The ACLU is WEAPON the gangs use to keep law enforcement at bay. I praise you for highlighting this topic. If we do not take a combination of tough enforcement, and early childhood intervention. Then the future is a city run by the gangs.

The city Ethics Commission unanimously agreed Tuesday to fine Los Angeles Councilman Tony Cardenas $3,500 for violating the city's campaign-finance laws by accepting seven contributions above the $500 limit.
The fine is equal to the amount of excess contributions found during a routine audit of Cardenas' 2001 primary campaign for the City Council.

The San Fernando Valley councilman agreed to pay the fine.
Cardenas lost to Wendy Greuel after a hard-fought campaign in 2002 to fill the vacancy created by the departure of longtime Councilman Joel Wachs. A former state assemblyman, Cardenas won another seat on the council the following year.
The seven excess contributions, totaling $1,000 each, came from the Official Police Garage Assn. of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles City Fire Department Chief Officers Assn., William M. Lasher, Gene A. Lucero, Funes Architecture and Architect Manuel Funes, ACS State & Local Solutions, and AMG & Associates.

MR. DOGG -- I'd say it's a good thing then that Mr. Villaraigosa put a plan in place to hire 1,000 new cops that will put a beat down on any and all gang members.
I'd take facts over rhetoric any day. Your post says nothing about "how" Villaraigosa obstructed, but i just gave you a recent fact on how Villaraigosa has given the City 1,000 more cops when Bradley, Riordan and Hahn could not. Perhaps they were the obstructionists.
You also copy and paste someone else's words in your pst as claiming that we the way to get a hold of the gang problem is tough enforcement and early childhood intervention.

Support Prop. 82 (the only initiative that actually provided early childhood programs to every child in California, albeit it lost, but Villaraigosa supported it more than most Mayor's in LA) Check!

Let's talk about Mayor V.'s work at ACLU, fighting in court AGAINST the city to protect gang member rights over those of law abiing members of the community.
Let's check his votes in asassmeby member, where he voted time and time against AGAINST tough on crime bills. Mayor V is on record time and time againvoting AGAINSTincreasing penalties for people who do violence in the community.

Councilmembers have state publicly, these are not enough new cops to patrol nursery school playground problems. About 200 new cops, only after attrition. There is a crisis with recruitment of new cops...

I would love for you to try as well. You are passionate and good with words...only problem: For all your posts...the only issue I have ever seen addressed is ME, the D-O-Double Gee.

You must have a lot of good info to bring to the table about the issues being disussed here at Mayor Sam, and throughout the City.
And in your case, I welcome you and challenge you to find holes in the info i present on the issues. or bring up an opposing viewpoint on an issue that hasn't been brought to the table -- or heard/new info. I bring nfo to the table from both sides...it may disappoint the hardcore council haters who have their own agenda...but my agenda is simply to bring facts/truths to the people. Unfortunatley, it seems that always seems to go agaonst council in the court of public opinion...but you can ask cit ahll staffers like Josh from Garcetti's office...i am always calling to clarify things, offer a chance for them to add info to the story....ad josh can tell you i HAVE crrected false information that was beng perpetuted in the public over trash collection fees and other issues....so dude...wy don't you become my TRUE and ACTUAL nemesis...and post relentlessly on how I m wrong on important issues...cause all you have done is post about me, and although I guess I AM an important issue in LA politics...I mean OTHER important issues...

That Kevin James is a great resource for the city of Los Angeles and Zuma Dogg. You HATE that I listen to him, cause he helps me take things to a WHOLE new level. So if you hate some of the things I'm saying, thse days...you can blame Kevin James on 790-KABC (plus, Doug, Mr. K and Mark Isler) I'm sure he'll be glad to take the blame.
