Feds Sue Sterling For Alleged Racial Discrimination
The United States Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Donald T. Sterling, alleging he refused to rent apartments in Koreatown to blacks and families with children. Sterling's name may seem familiar to you: he runs massive ads in the Los Angeles Times for his skyscraper apartment buildings on Wilshire, and his litigation law practice. He also owns the Clippers.Let's hope the allegations turn out to be wrong. How sad it would be if so successful a man would discriminate based on race in the Twenty-First Century!

Mr. Sterling seems to be a reflection of the times, it seems that everywhere we are all suffering of this affliction, yes everywhere around the world, people dislike each other. Everyone is down on Mexicans, blaming them for everything wrong in the world. Jews are bombing everyone around them. The Emerit is committing genocide on the Sudan. France Can't stand Americans, or the Jews, and has had it with religion. Here in America we are trying to forget about God, this way we don't have to justify our "we want to rule the world attitude". Yes it is sad that a man like Mr. Sterling who has so much does not find his way toward kindness to others who don't have as much, However, he is not the only one there are many like him. There does not seem to be a single thing we can do about it. Except blog our way through it all. Let it all out. Yes, it does make us feel better.
And how about those crude, cruel, and incompetent Chinese, clubbing all those poor dogs to death!!

It's not that people don't like Mexicans. People just don't want them coming illegally by the millions, without more than a middle school education, not learning English, expecting everyone else to pay for their healthcare and the infrastructure that they utilize and for their babies' care and education, etc. Mexicans are generally O.K., but that extra stuff isn't.

11:31, he "turns his nose up" at illegals? Well he should. If they want to come here, they should come legally. If Mexico is so messed up that millions upon millions of Mexican illegals come here, then, rather than escaping to the U.S., they need to stay and fix the situation down there.

If illegals were making me millions, I'd love to have them here. But they're not, and my taxes are being spent on them. And they don't cut my grass or wash my car (I don't have a lawn, and I use a self-car wash place close to an infamous "Aztec" school in L.A.). Anyways, even if I did hire an illegal to do some work, they shouldn't expect "benefits" such as citizenship, healthcare coverage, or schooling for their children, unless we explicitly discuss those things. When people pay illegals $5 an hour to mow a lawn, that doesn't mean other, unspoken bonuses come with it. Why do illegals assume that?

Sterling should be ashamed and now humiliated cause all LA knows he's a racist. Didn't he donate to Antonio's campaign?
Latinos all over the city are tired of the illegals as well. They have an arrogant attitude as if they deserve the same rights as citizens. They come here to have kids then get on welfare. I don't understand why the gov't keeps paying them money even though their illegal. All the free services have to stop before any control can happen.
vqucdYou should know that very wealthy people, and very wealthy companies also get help from the government. also, be aware that there are many illegal individuals from many countries around the world who are here illegaly. What is really going on here, is the difference between Republicans and Democates, Republicans usually spend their money in investments outside the U.S.A. they give all of our Taxpayer money to everyone outside the U.S.A., Democrates usually keep the Taxpayer money here at home. So keep voting Repiblican, and keep looking for different people to blame it on. By the way the immigration problem has been worse since Republicans have taken office. Everything has been worse for us here in the U.S.A.

Reading comprehension isn't your forte, is it? You may want to re-read my posts.
My various articles opposing "welfare for the rich," for example, hardly constitute contempt for the poor. Case in point: I have faulted the so-called "affordable housing" bond because it would tax low-income homeowners and give their money to rich developers, and to people earning six-figure incomes, ostensibly to help THEM buy homes.
Likewise, I have explained that I oppose rent control because it is both over-inclusive and under-inclusive as a form of aid, and because it is unfair to saddle landlords with the burden of housing aid. Rent control is NOT based on the tenant's income. There are people with big incomes who live in rent-controlled apartments, and people with small incomes who live in rent-controlled apartments. And if we, as a city, decide we want to help the poor with housing, then we should use tax dollars to do so, not just require one group of people (e.g., landlords) to provide services at a discount.
I have never opposed aid for the needy. Rather, I have always said that, if you want to help the poor, give THEM the money -- don't give it to rich developers. Section 8 housing subsidies, for example, put the aid directly in the hands of the needy.
Nor is it racial discrimination to want our elected officials to enforce our laws, whether those laws concern building codes, immigration restrictions, or stop signs -- all of which I've written about, by the way. "Law-breakers" do not constitute a "racial minority;" they come in all colors, and from all nations. Conversely, law-abiding people come in all colors, and from all nations. Given a choice, I prefer law-abiding over law-breakers.
But I know you're going to falsely call me a "racist" because you are incapable of articulating any legitimate reasons for people to vote against me. It's like the old joke about lawyers: "When the law is on your side, argue the law. When the facts are on your side, argue the facts. When neither is on your side, pound on the table."
You have neither the facts nor the law on your side, so you're just going to pound the table. I'm hoping voters are smarter than you think they are.
Mr. Moore will be remembered during his next campaign for the way he hates poor people. has he looked around at this city and noticed who lives in it. does he think he can get elected to ANY office, even dogcather, with his attituted toward working people?
Thank God for people like Sterling! He owns 100 apt. buildings and he is just trying to keep the riff raff away. What's wrong with having all Koreans in Korea town? What's wrong with keeping all the Mexicans in East LA?

We have ten millions of unwanted illegals and many unwanted Koreans and Chinese. Just drive down mid Wilshire Bl. and look at the destruction the Asians and Mexicans have caused. Mid Wilshire used to be a beautiful metropolitan business area but now you cant even find any signage in English! There's only one Mexican in Hancock Park and we all know who that is. But at least he will have to move in 3 years.
This country does not have room for one more immigrant...legal or illegal...and we need to deport at least 20M Mexicans. Just think about it...there are 20,000 illegal Mexicans coming here EVERY DAY!
It's too late for LA, but the rest of the country better lock its doors!

I think that here in LA, we are actually closer to the day when 'undesirable' racists pigs like yourself, who are predomenantly white, but actually come in all colors, will head for the hills--or more accurately, for the desserts of CA and the Southwest. White flight is turning into 'right-wing flight' and the faster we can scare your type into leaving town, the better off we will be.
One day this city will be almost completely full of progressive minds of all colors and creeds, and you will be the type of person who we will speak off to our grandchildren, the Angeleno conservative.

What's needed in the poorer neighorhoods is education. Someone needs to teach these people how to keep your yards clean, pick up trash on the streets and water their yards. What a difference the community would look like if they weren't so damn lazy! I now can understand why people become racist against a certain culture when you see the city little by little becoming such a blight. I heard a tourist say, "How ugly downtown looks." That's because all the illegal vendors are there, illegals with their 10 kids and all the pregnant ones walking around. And Antonio thinks this is all ok. He's use to living in filth.

Education won't help these people! Culture follows race and I have been in China and Mexico. China was the filthiest place I have ever seen, and mid-Wilshire looks just like the real China. And as far as Mexico is concerned, they are hopeless too! I went into a drapery store owned by a man from Tehran one day. We were just shooting the breeze about the different cultures. I was shocked when he told me that Americans take too many showers! He said in Iran, they only take showers once or twice a week! I wouldn't want to sleep next to him!!!!
We have to keep the races separated! Culture follows race, and I certainly don't want anyone but native Americans living in my neighborhood.
If you notice....the further south you go...the more Republican the State becomes. When you drive down to Newport, Laguna, etc. the difference is night and day. LA is just solid with bleeding heart liberals...and they all live like pigs.

One of the allegations of the Justice Department is that Sterling discouraged blacks from moving into his buildings by naming them things like "Korean World Tower". This in a city that labels whole neighborhoods "Koreatown", "Filipinotown" etc. etc. Seems the city is promoting racial segregation as much as Sterling.

That's actually one of the City's initial complaints about Sterling, but did not form part of the legal case. The legal case has documented proof of systematic discrimination towards African Americans, and also a few Latinos.

I have lived in Bel Air for the past 30 years and my parents still live in the house I was born in on Bristol Circle in Brentwood.
I guarantee you that the majority of homeowners are wasps...just as I and my family are. For you to say Brentwood and Bel are majority Persians...only indicates you have never set foot in either place.
Everyone is racist, very few people are not racist at all, thats a very difficult challenge not to be racist. Even within races you have racism, like white trash, which white people call other whites who are poor, or light skin Mexicans are racist against darker Indians not mixed with Spanish blood, or lighter complected Blacks against darker complected ones, seems to be all about the way you look. Jews who are white, who are not liked because of their religion, Gays who are not liked because of sexual preferrance. It's all in our head we are conditioned this way, we can condition ourselves anyway we want, we don't need any of that ugliness, hatered. We are all people first.

Back in the early 70's when i was in High School, my Family and i lived in Westwood, it was filled with Middle Easterners already at that time, so the person who says that isn't true you must not leave your street. West L.A., Brentwood, Beverly Hills, there are more foreigners there than anywhere else, you know how it is here in L.A. if you have lots of money you can be from where ever you want, everyone respects money! Here in L.A. Money makes you a good person!
